With the first big event of the year on the horizon, CS:GO’s 2022 season is ready to get started. A tumultuous off-season saw major shifts in how teams stack up to each other. In the days leading into IEM Katowice, we will paint the picture for every roster competing at the event, and try to set expectations.

“We’re not just here to take part. We’re here to take over.”
FaZe’s general manager must wake up every day and read a bunch of Conor McGregor quotes as if they were the bible.
Signing Robin “ropz” Kool to usher in the second superstar era for the organization is exactly the spice 2022 needed.
Not only did they scalp MOUZ of their best player, again, but they reunited the golden duo that brought then mousesports their most successful period.
ropz and karrigan are back, baby.
Finn “karrigan” Andersen has been very vocal about his desire to join up with the Estonian superstar again. His wish has been granted, but there’s much more to this lineup.
Russell “Twistzz” Van Dulken is one of the most gifted players NA has ever produced. Havard “rain” Nygaard is one of the most seasoned players out there. And Helvijs “broky” Saukants is severely underrated as an AWPer.
Hot damn this is an exciting roster.
Following a roster move, teams usually struggle for a while as they need to sort out roles and positions.
This won’t be the case with ropz joining FaZe Clan.
ropz is 1-on-1 taking over Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer’s roles and position, which should make his integration far easier than usual.
Following a strong performance at BLAST Premier Spring, FaZe enter Katowice with high expectations. Surviving the Play-in is the bare minimum, making play-offs a must.
And who knows, with some of the other teams still ironing things out following roster moves and struggling to find their best form in the new season, FaZe could potentially aim for a victory at IEM Katowice.
