Copenhagen Flames took the world by storm at the PGL Stockholm Major.
An offer to join Complexity followed, but the deal ultimately fell through. The players decided to stay at CPHF, despite the organization being very clear about their lacking infrastructure.
The rumors, negotiations, and uncertainty certainly took their toll on the roster. They struggled to recreate the magic in online competitions, with the community marking them as a one-hit wonder.
But the end of the off-season might work liberating for the players, as they can finally focus on what’s important: getting results.
It’s time for everyone to turn the page on Copenhagen Flames.
They’re no longer *that* team. No more Stockholm miracle run references. A Clean slate.
They’re five talented Danish players, with a lot of potential. But also with a lot of flaws and fields to improve.
IEM Katowice in the first step: CPHF has to prove that they can handle the pressure of LAN and can hang with the big guys.
Whether they survive the play-ins is irrelevant, they just need to look competitive.
