ExpressVPN has doubled down on esports with multiple new partnerships.
Firstly, the VPN provider has renewed its partnership with the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC). Its new exclusive associations, on the other hand, includes the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA, VCT Americas, G2 Esports, and Method.
Across all these associations, ExpressVPN will be known as the ‘official VPN partner.’ With tech-savvy gamers widely using a VPN, these partnerships enable the brand to target a part of its core user base directly.
“The organizations we’re partnering with work with the best players and biggest communities in gaming, and they chose ExpressVPN because we care about the same things gamers care about — staying connected, staying stable and keeping the game smooth,” said Zac Eller, GM, Global Partnerships & Business Development at ExpressVPN.
That’s not all, though, as the brand has also announced the launch of its new gaming social channel, ‘@ExpressVPN_Gaming.’ It said that it will be using this channel for news, content, and merch giveaways.
For fans of the LEC, VCT, G2, and Method, the VPN provider will be giving exclusive drops, incentives, and rewards throughout the year. A few of these have already been revealed.
Fans of the LEC who purchase the ExpressVPN basic, advanced, or pro plans can receive upto two Hextech Chests and Keys each, a Xin Zhao rare skin plus the champion.
VCT viewers get similar rewards, which include a buddy, card, and a spray. G2 Esports fans can get a chance to win an exclusive signed jersey.
“We’re always looking to partner with brands that share our commitment to performance at the highest level,” said Sabrina Ratih, COO at G2 Esports. “ExpressVPN is a natural fit for us, they operate in a space where speed, security, and reliability are essential. Our players compete on milliseconds, and our fans live online, so this partnership is about empowering both with a safer, faster, and more secure digital experience.”
Finally, Method, the esports organization known for its World of Warcraft community, is giving discounts on purchases of ExpressVPN’s pro plans.
ExpressVPN is supported across consoles, PC, and mobile. Many gamers widely use a virtual private network to protect from DDoS attacks during tournaments, connect to specific game servers, and change their region for training purposes.
