Excel Esports have announced on June 28 that they have promoted two players from their academy roster to the LEC lineup.
LEC head coach Joey “Youngbuck” Steltenpool announced on Twitter that Mark “Markoon” van Woensel and Henk “Advienne” Reijenga will be playing instead of Daniel “Dan” Hockley and Petr “denyk” Haramach on Week 4.

The news follows Excel Esports’ loss to SK Gaming, where SK dominated them during team fights and sealed the deal after Excel’s risky decisions before a Baron Nashor takedown backfired. Despite securing a victory against MAD Lions on Week 2, Excel were unable to stabilize as scrimmage defeats piled up.
