Evil Geniuses have underperformed throughout 2022, and things seemed to hit a breaking point following an interview with former assistant coach Paolo “EVY” Berbudeau.
Now, as BLIX.GG are reporting, it seems that the organization will be making changes as they look to bench Boston Major Winners Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and William “RUSH” Wierzba.
The report states that Kazakh IGL Sanjar “neaLaN” İshakov, as well as Dane Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen are both on the cards to replace Stewie, from K23 and Copenhagen Flames respectively.
Finally, it seems that Valdemar “valde” Bjorn Vangså also looks to be on the move, with the report also stating that his previously collapsed move to EG might be back on the cards, following his benching from OG in recent months.
EG recently signed the rosters of both Carpe Diem and Party Astronauts, creating CSGO’s first 15-man-roster, although this is the first change to the main roster since the beginning of 2022.
HooXi has recently impressed as an IGL with the arguable overperformances of his now-defunct Copenhagen Flames roster at the last two Majors, while neaLaN is still just 21 and waiting for his break into Tier 1 after impressing for K23.
Meanwhile, valde is by far the most established star and has been heavily rumored to be of interest to Astralis ever since his benching by OG.
