15 players wasn't enough
Despite a rather unceremonious end to his previous stint on the team, according to a report from dust2.us, Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz could soon be finding himself in the Evil Geniuses colours once again.
However, despite their main team being in desperate need of a new IGL, they are reporting that instead stanislaw will line up as part of EG.CD, replacing Anthony “CLASIA” Kearney.
This comes as a bit of a surprise, not because it would’ve been thought to have been more likely stanislaw would find himself on the main team, but because CLASIA was only signed to the Blueprint Project just under two months ago.
Interestingly, this isn’t a like-for-like change, as stanislaw has always been an IGL (as long as Damian “daps” Steele has built the roster first), yet he won’t be replacing EG.CD’s current IGL, Colby “Walco” Walsh.
Who will lead the team should this move be completed remains unclear.
Stanislaw made his name as an IGL on OpTic way back in 2016, where he won ELEAGUE Season 2, the organisation’s only tournament win, in an underdog victory against Astralis. He later led Liquid to multiple respectable tournament finishes before overseeing a rise and fall of EG between 2019 and 2021.
