Fortnite has revealed the full details of its Chapter 6 Season 1 map, alongside every POI for players to visit.
Earlier this weekend, Fortnite fans got hyped over a leaked image of the new map. Although no specific POI was revealed yet, players could tell the map looked massive. Now it’s been confirmed that this map is truly bigger than any other map in Fortnite’s history.
Given the presence of giants like the island turtle, massive bosses, and Godzilla in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1, a massive map was necessary. Epic Games has officially revealed just how gigantic the map truly is, plus every fascinating new POI.
Fortnite has officially shared details of “Demon Hunters,” the latest story event of the game. Inspired by ancient Japan, the map is large with new environments that have never been seen before. Epic outlined some of the overall features that are all over the map.
First is ancient architecture inspired by Japanese history. Some of these buildings will have challenges for players — eliminate demons, train for combat, and climb mountains. This will be blended with modern aesthetics, including a dense commercial district with very tight quarters for intense team fights. There will also be supernatural elements throughout the map, inspired by folklore and reimagined to reward players who are curious. It’s as Japan as many fans hoped it would be.
On top of that, the Shogun X demon warrior will be gathering spirit energy throughout the island. Players can defeat him for the Wanderer Medallion, which grants infinite stamina and invisibility while sprinting. As for new POIs, Chapter 6’s first season teased over a dozen new locations in the trailer.
In all, there are 18 POIs to discover.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 will begin in just a few hours. By December 1, everyone should be playing on the new island. Each POI in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 may feature cherry blossom trees, demons, food markets, shrines, and even Godzilla and King Kong. Godzilla will be particularly massive, potentially causing havoc and chaos across the map.
