One of the most whimsical skin lines in League of Legends is the Faerie Court skins, and all of the Faerie Court skins cover every lane in the game.
There’s something for every laner to love in League of Legends’ Faerie Court skins. First released in March of 2023, the skin line has grown to include nearly a dozen champions. The Faerie Court skins have their own lore as an alternative universe, including four different faerie courts based on the seasons. Each skin changes abilities and recall animations, and they each have chromas for extra personalization.
Coming in at 1,350 RP a pop, these skins are everything faerie-lore lovers could ask for.
“Though he is a lord of the Summer Court, Ezreal would much rather be investigating ancient magical history than putting up with all the political drama. When his research reveals something curious about the Faerie queen’s line of succession, however, Ezreal discovers that someone may have placed Karma upon the throne for their own purposes.”
True to his personality, Faerie Court Ezreal is more worried about exploration and research. The splash art for this skin has a tiny, blonde-haired faerie that looks suspiciously like a reference to Tinker Bell, the popular Disney icon. Additionally, Soraka can be seen coming to support Ezrael in the background.
“As ambassador of the Spring Court, Fiora has a deep love for her people… even if that love often leads her to resolve conflict via impassioned duels rather than words. The last faerie queen was Fiora’s mother, and she believes her mother’s untimely death was no mistake. She wants answers, and she will administer justice at the tip of her sword.”
Faerie Court Fiora brings the skin line to the top lane. The lore itself touches on what Ezreal and Lillia’s descriptions discuss. Things aren’t peachy in League’s Faerie AU, and Fiora is a testament to that. She represents the wilder fae side that’s not always represented in media but fits perfectly into League of Legends.
“As captain of Her Majesty’s royal guard, Kalista is dedicated to keeping her queen safe above all else. Though some grumble that Kalista was only elevated to her station because she is Karma’s dearest friend, she has proven time and time again that her title is well earned. Anyone who thinks otherwise is welcome to duel her and learn firsthand.”
Kalista seems to get her positions of power through who she knows, a trend that weaves throughout the Faerie Court skins. Faerie Court Kalista looks like she belongs in the Autumn Court based on the orange leaves and sunset aesthetic of her splash art.
“All hail Her Majesty, Karma, Queen of the Seelie Court of Light and Beauty! Though her selection and subsequent rise to the throne was a surprise to everyone (nobles, laymen, even Karma herself), she is a beacon of poise and power, overseeing the turning of seasons and keeping the balance between the ever-bickering seasonal sub-courts. Long live the Queen!”
Faerie Queen Karma is the ruler of all the faerie courts in League of Legends, sitting at the top of all the seasons. However, as Ezrael and Lillia are discovering, she may be a puppet for a larger force. The official description for Faerie Queen Karma points out that she’s the Queen of the Seelie Court, and there’s an Unseelie Court, as well. They could be behind Karma’s sudden ascension to the throne.
“Though Katarina is an official diplomatic envoy hailing from the Unseelie Court of Truth and Shadow, you wouldn’t know it from all the side-eyed glances and disapproving frowns she receives from closed-minded courtiers. No matter: with daggers in hand and a mystery afoot, Katarina has her own agenda.”
Faerie Court Katarina represents the Unseelie Faerie Court, natural enemies to the Seelie Court. She’s the only representation of the Unseelie Court, and her splash art highlights this by being upside down. In the background, there are other upside-down faeries, and Katarina’s hair shows gravity pulling it down toward the ground.
“Don’t let the butterflies fool you: otherworldly elegance may be Katarina’s game, but that gala-ready look is sharper than her knives. Fashion is a metamorphosis, after all. Try to keep up.”
Prestige Faeria Court Katarina is the perfect example of a prestige League of Legends skin. With a beautiful and highly-detailed splash art, Prestige Faerie Court Katarina is as sharp as Katarina’s knives are.
“Lady of the Winter Court and Keeper of the Seelie Heart-tree, Lillia records the history of the Faerie Queendoms in the ancient tree’s rings, freezing events into forested, ever-growing archives. When Lillia discovers that someone has tried to tamper with her work, however, she must rally her courage—there is trouble afoot!”
All of the Faerie Court skins feature butterflies, but Faerie Court Lillia shows how much the butterflies help out the faeries. As a record keeper, Lillia knows everything that’s going on in the Faerie lands – except for how Karma came to be Queen. Her wintery colors match her Court perfectly.
“A young sorceress studying under Archmage Milio, Lux is ready to prove that she’s not just an idle Lady of the Summer Court. Responsible for splitting sunbeams into rainbows through the morning dew, she has a lot of work to conquer each day before the sun rises—but she is nothing if not determined!”
Of course, League of Legends’ golden girl has a spot in the Faerie Court skins. Faerie Court Lux turns Lux into a young training faerie who is the perfect representation of the whimsical, playful side of faeries. She may not be the fiercest one around, but her splash art is one of the cutest.
“An archmagus of the court wreathed in firefly familiars, Milio knows just about everything that happens within the palace walls. He may seem like a child, but fae are long-lived, and Milio has been a child far longer than others have been adults. Still, he is a friendly face who uses his power to safeguard the Queendom however he can.”
Faerie Court Milio is an Archmage of the Seelie Court, and he trains Lux. Interestingly, his splash art highlights fireflies with a few butterflies scattered about. Most of the other Faerie Court skins feature butterflies instead.
“A sunny siren of the Summer Court, it was Lady Seraphine’s skillful makeover talents that helped get Karma and Kalista ready to face the nobility with style. She is a master of courtly manners and was more than happy to teach her new friends everything that really counts about being fabulous!”
As always, Seraphine is an icon in whatever universe she’s in. This time, she’s hanging up her microphone for fashion, helping keep the other important ladies of the faerie world in style.
“Soraka, the Court’s royal herbalist, is a top-notch healer and expert on the powers contained in the materials of the natural world. There’s no malady she can’t handle with the right selection of plants and her trusty beetle buddies at her side! Except, perhaps, the malady at the heart of the Royal Court…”
Faerie Court Soraka is as grand a healer in the Faerie universe as she is in League of Legends. Her splash art is similar to Lillia’s, using butterflies to help herself. It seems like she knows something’s wrong with Faerie Queen Karma as well, but she can’t seem to solve the problem.
“As plucky Quartermaster to the Royal Guard and Lady Kalista’s new right hand fae, Tristana cultivates all sorts of magical plant-based weaponry to help protect Her Majesty the Queen! Most of them are some form of sprout, flower, vine, or moss. All of them are incredibly destructive.”
When it comes to the destructive tricks of the fae, Faerie Court Tristana is the pure embodiment of it. She causes destruction with her nature-based abilities, and her size makes her the perfect choice for the skin line.
All Faerie Court skins in League of Legends are available from the in-game store.
