Epic confirm much-requested feature coming in next update

Fortnite players have a few quality-of-life features on their shortlist, and have for some time.

One of those features is a preferred item slot feature, which would allow you to set a preset of how you’d like your weapons and items to enter your inventory.

Finally, after years of posts on the Fortnite subreddits, Epic have announced that they’ll be releasing this feature in the next update – expected next Tuesday, July 20.

Looting in the heat of battle? Have no fear, Preferred Item Slots are near. This setting sort your pick-ups in the inventory slot you designate for more control over what goes where.
