Entropiq narrowly take down G2 in a nailbiter match: ESL Pro League Day 4 Recap

Today's matches of ESL Pro League went the distance - especially G2 vs. Entropiq. With Aleksib back, G2 were healthy and ready to go. On the other side, Entropiq are a well rounded team with each player on their roster able to frag out when needed. In the end, Entropiq narrowly escaped with a victory. Also, NIP clinched the first seed in the group with a win over LFO and Fnatic took down MOUZ to move closer to advancing to the playoffs.

Entropiq edge past G2

It was not the normal duo of NiKo and hunter lighting up the board in this matchup. Instead, it was Jackz and m0nsey taking on NickelBack, Lack1, and Krad. Map one went the distance with over forty rounds played. In the end, NiKo stepped up after a relatively quiet game to help convert the map for G2.

Map two was just as back and forth as map one. The two teams traded rounds, but in the second half, G2 were able to come away. However, G2 were unable to close out. From being down 14-8, Entropiq came back to force overtime, and eventually, map three.

Just like map two, G2 got out to an early lead. After G2 were up 13-8, they were, once again, unable to close. Entropiq put together eight rounds consecutively to win 16-13 and take home the series 2-1.

fnatic bounce back against MOUZ

MOUZ started off the series with an early lead on map one. Despite some resistance from poizon, whose form seemed to be the same as it was yesterday, they won map one with little resistance.

Inferno was the opposite of map one, with fnatic getting off to an early lead, thanks to mezii, that proved insurmountable.

While MOUZ had potential on map three, mirage, their missed opportunities, and unfortunate experiences - NBK's monitor not working when he was left in a clutch situation - ended up costing them the series.

NIP erase playoff hopes for LFO

The Australians are officially out of playoff contention with a loss against NIP. However, LFO didn't go down without a fight. While map one was very one-sided, LFO struck back on map two.

Despite consistently losing both pistols, AWPer sterling turned things in the team's favor once he had the big green in his hands. LFO was able to string together rounds after the first few rounds of each half and narrowly won map two 16-14.

On map three, however, the trio of phzy, es3tag, and hampus were leaving nothing to chance. They combined for a total of 56 kills in just 21 rounds to take home the map 16-5 to NIP and win the series 2-1.
