The group stage of the cursed YaLLa Compass Qatar tournament is done and the playoffs will begin with 9Pandas vs ENCE, a match that seemingly has betting sites confused.
YaLLa Compass Qatar had quite the rug-pull as the seven best teams of the event pulled out to compete in bigger tournaments. That forced the tournament organizer to scramble for last-minute replacements. This has made the event look like more of a tier-two European league.
ENCE and 9Pandas were both qualifier winners and stuck it out in the tournament. Only one of them has looked the part, though.
The Counter-Strike teams of 9Pandas and ENCE will face off in a best-of-three match in the playoffs of YaLLa Compass Qatar. The winner will advance to the semifinals where they’ll face BetBoom Team. The loser is eliminated and will take home a $7,500 prize for fifth-place.
9Pandas has been grinding throughout 2025 on the tier-two scene in Europe and Russia, posting mixed placements across CCT leagues while falling early in qualifiers for LANs. The team started YaLLa Compass Qatar with a stumble, losing 13-8 to NaVi Jr, but the team rebounded to seal a playoff spot with wins over Partizan, Dynamo Eclot, and GUN5 Esports.
The 9Pandas Counter-Strike roster includes the following players:
9Pandas’ best map is Nuke, where it has a 14-7 record in 2025. It’s also has a strongly positive record on Mirage, going 13-9. It’s closer to even on Dust 2 and Inferno, but it has a decisively losing record on Ancient and Anubis.
Though ENCE is the biggest name involved in this tournament and is one of the few teams that wasn’t a late substitution, ENCE has underwhelmed in YaLLa Compass Qatar. It started with a hardfought win over Spirit Academy and then took a convincing victory over GTZ.Esports. The wheels came off from there though, as it took consecutive losses to Nexus, Metizport, and BetBoom.
The ENCE roster advances with a 2-3 record thanks to the tiebreaker rules, but it seemingly faces a long road ahead:
ENCE’s home turf in 2025 has been Ancient. Its best map entering the tournament was Anubis, though ENCE has struggled there in this event.
ENCE has played against 9Pandas just once prior to this match. They faced off in CCT Season 2 Europe #20 in a quarterfinals match. ENCE won 2-0, though both maps were challenging ones.
ENCE is an extremely slim betting favorite for its match against 9Pandas. The moneylines stand at 1.75 against 1.95, meaning that this one is close to a tossup for the bookies.
9Pandas should be able to get the better of ENCE in YaLLa Compass Qatar. While the Russian team isn’t particularly fearsome, ENCE has done little to inspire confidence. Meanwhile, 9Pandas has looked fairly strong in matches that counted for something while also taking wins over stronger teams than ENCE prior to this tournament.
