2022 LoL World Champion DRX has released their 2025 financial audit. The team, now known as Kiwoom DRX or KRX, has gone even for the second year in a row with $8.7 million in revenue. In a field where numerous organizations operate at a loss, this team still manages stability despite ranking low in League of Legends.
In 2025, DRX increased their revenue and once again broke even. However, due to increased expenses, their net profit fell by 90% down to $6680.
| Year | 2024 | 2025 | Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue | $7.68 million | $8.69 million | +13% |
| Non-operational product | $604,000 | $83000 | -86% |
| Expenses | $8.21 million | $8.77 million | +11% |
| Profits | $71,208 | $6,831 | -90% |
It has to be noted, though, that the team has now fully paid off their LCK franchising fees in 2025. Each team had to pay an entry fee as the LCK entered franchising in 2021. Entering 2026, Kiwoom DRX’s $6.76 million share is now settled.
In March, DRX signed a partnership with the company Kiwoom Securities, though the deal will mostly pay off in the current year. The team thus rebranded to Kiwoom DRX and now plays under the tag KRX.
On top of it, the organization also partnered with ASUS ROG in January 2026, promising a brighter year for KRX’s sponsorship revenue.
DRX hasn’t found any success since their World Championship win in 2022. The team reached the playoffs once in Summer 2023 and now once more in the LCK Cup 2026, and no other time.
Meanwhile, many other teams that place higher and continuously chase for trophies report operating at a loss. This raises questions regarding salaries.
In DRX’s case, they’ve spent $3.24 million in salaries in 2024 and $4.34 million in 2025. This increase makes most of the difference between their expenses of 2024 and 2025. At the same time, other teams can spend millions on the salary of a single player. This means that fielding teams with lower ambitions can be a safer strategy financially.
While Kiwoom DRX has found no success in League of Legends since 2022, their VALORANT roster tells a different story. The team placed third at the VCT Champions 2025, showing that the club definitely has ambition elsewhere.
