To secure their spot in VCT CN for the 2026 season, the team needed to qualify for the playoffs stage. Sadly, they lost to T1 and G2 Esports, resulting in their relegation to VCT Ascension CN 2025.

Defeating Thunder Gaming and Zhu Chao Gaming with a scoreline of 2-0. Shockingly, in the first match of the playoffs phase, Dragon Ranger Gaming lost against Any Questions Gaming. In the lower bracket finals, Dragon Ranger Gaming got their revenge against Any Questions Gaming. They defeated them with a scoreline of 3-2, securing their spot in the grand finals. During the third map, DRG won with a score of 13-1. This was sheer dominance on display, with Rare Atom finishing 2nd during a VCT Ascension CN tournament. With this win, DRG secures its spot in the VCT CN 2026 season.
