Controversial YouTube streamer Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has been teasing a possible platform change, but is a switch to Rumble really on the table?
Dr Disrespect faced immense backlash after admitting to messaging a minor on Twitch, causing him to initially “take a vacation.” But after some heavily mocked cryptic tweets and banner changes, Dr Disrespect returned to YouTube to stream to loyal Champions Club members. Unfortunately for Doc, YouTube hasn’t budged on its decision to demonetize his channel after learning of his questionable behavior. This left Dr Disrespect with no choice but to beg for donations on his return stream, titled The Truth.
Will Dr Disrespect go to a different platform now that YouTube won’t monetize the Two-Time?
Rumble is courting Dr DisRespect, but the figure hasn’t signed a streaming deal with the platform.
Back in 2023, Rumble’s CEO Chris Pavlovski was reported as stating that he’d “love to have Dr Disrespect” in an interview with Dexerto. At the time, Rumble explained that they wanted “everyone” that creates “authentic content without barriers.”
Now, however, Rumble was reported to have joined a long list of streaming platforms and studios that don’t want anything to do with Dr Disrespect. According to journalist Rod “Slasher” Breslau, anonymous sources told the trusted reporter that Dr Disrespect was not going to be offered any kind of contract at Rumble.
In response, Dr Disrespect directly tweeted at Pavlovski to ask if this was confirmed.
“Add Slasher to the list of the lying corporate media,” Pavlovski responded. “We have never declined having Dr Disrespect on Rumble. It makes you really wonder what else these reporters are lying about in order to get clicks in Dr Disrespect’s name.”
The Champions Club applauded the clapback, stating that it’s no surprise that people don’t like censorship. Pavlovski stated that the “tides are turning.”
Does this mean Dr Disrespect was offered a Rumble contract or has plans to join the platform? So far, nothing has been confirmed. When fans asked Pavlovski directly if there was a contract in the works, no answer was given. Without a contract, Slasher isn’t necessarily wrong although it could be seen as a way to paint Rumble as against Dr Disrespect joining in general.
Dr Disrespect didn’t have the same friendly interaction with Kick. He recently called out Kick after the co-founder, Edward Kraven, said that making any kind of deal with Dr Disrespect “would make zero sense.”
On his X account, Doc wrote: “I’d retire before considering streaming on Kick. My community is the best in the industry… I wouldn’t take it there. There’s a reason why they keep dropping my name. Think about it.”
It doesn’t seem like Dr Disrespect has plans to leave YouTube right now.
