After a surprise warning, vtuber Zentreya claims that Twitch is unfairly targeting vtubers for penalties, warnings, and even bans.
Zentreya is a Twitch vtuber who has been streaming since 2017 and joined VShojo alongside popular vtuber Ironmouse in 2020. Zentreya’s use of a synthetic voice is notorious and complements her cyborg model. Those who don’t like her cyborg persona follow her for her alternate dragon model. While Zentreya’s content varies from memes to pranks, one constant thing is her usage of Twitch.
However, the Twitch vtuber has made a post regarding Twitch targeting vtubers and making it harder for them to stream their content on the streaming platform.
Zentreya shared a screenshot of Twitch’s email, which issued her a warning for her content containing sexual themes.
The vtuber Zentreya made a post on X and she claimed that the reason given by Twitch is bogus. The streamer elaborated that while she was in a one-piece bathing suit, she was far from the screen and not breaking any of Twitch’s rules.
Zentreya claimed that she wore the same outfit multiple times before on stream but never received any warning. She insinuated that in this instance she was let off easy. However, she might get banned the next time she wears a bathing suit on stream.
The vtuber alleged that “something’s definitely going on” and the warning she received wasn’t fair. She further explained that in all the years she has streamed on Twitch, she has followed all guidelines and never received a warning.
In response to Zentreya claiming that Twitch is targeting vtubers, several other vtubers shared similar hostile experiences.
Other vtubers offered their support to Zentreya and claimed to have received unfair punishment from Twitch. The Twitch vtuber Clotho claimed she received a warning for just playing Fortnite without breaking any rules.
Another Twitch vtuber RaitoKingu claims that the streaming platform is taking unfair actions against animated characters while real streamers get away with serious things. Some other commenters advised Zentreya to be careful, as Twitch is trigger-happy with the ban hammer.
