Did Twitch ban SystemZake for assault at Twitchcon?

Streamer SystemZake banned

Streamer SystemZake’s Twitch account was banned, and it may have something to do with fellow content creator Zenith’s assault accusations.

Twitchcon has always been infamous for reports of streamer’s drinks being tampered with and this year was no different. Streamer Hades tweeted the suspicions of her drink being drugged, but she had no proof to substantiate her claim. However, another incident allegedly occurred at Twitchcon that is equally disturbing. Streamer Zenith alleges that she was inappropriately touched without her consent by another streamer SystemZake at Twitchcon. It is even more appalling that the incident apparently occurred while Zenith was live streaming.

However, it looks like Twitch is taking this allegation seriously as SystemZake has been banned and the ban might be linked to the claims of assault.

Zenith alleged SystemZake sexually assaulted her at Twitchcon

Streamer Zenith shared a video of her interaction with SystemZake on X with details of the alleged incident.

In the post made on September 25, 2024, Zenith explained that she was streaming at Twitchcon on Sunday when she met SystemZake. The streamer claimed SystemZake put his face on her chest and then performed an inappropriate action without her consent.

SystemZake is visible on the video while placing his face on Zenith’s chest, but the alleged inappropriate action isn’t visible on the screen. However, SystemZake says “Chat, look at her face” and Zenith states in the video “Yeah, they don’t know what happened.” The streamer claims this is the moment when SystemZake grabbed her behind without her consent.

In a follow-up post, the streamer claims she didn’t want to post about this incident and felt “absolutely disgusting.” However, the incident was playing on in her head for the past three days and she can’t forget it. In yet another post, Zenith expressed her disappointment on her stream toward those who reacted positively to SystemZake’s actions which she referred to as “a crime.” The streamer further elaborated she is speaking up because she doesn’t want anyone else to go through something like this.

Zenith explained she met up with the content creator after trusting him and he betrayed that trust. Furthermore, she claims he violated her boundaries and the streamer stated she is sorry for anyone else who has gone through something similar.

Why did SystemZake get banned on Twitch?

SystemZake is technically banned for violating Twitch’s community guidelines, but the ban is likely linked to sexual assault allegations from Zenith.

It is normal for Twitch to not share the exact reason with the public for banning a streamer. Twitch does share the reason for the ban with the creator. However, SystemZake has been radio silent since his tweets regarding the alleged assault.

On September 26, 2024, SystemZake posted on X to respond to Zenith’s allegations. The content creator stated he made a huge mistake on Sunday at Twitchcon. He turned a fun evening into a painful moment for “a Twitch streamer.” SystemZake admits he crossed the line and claims he understands how serious his actions were.

The streamer further states that he is ashamed and apologized to “her,” her fans, and all who witnessed the incident. While SystemZake didn’t mention Zenith by her name, it can be inferred who he is referring to. This admission of the incident and the streamer’s apology might be why Twitch deemed his actions unfit for the platform and banned him.
