The vtuber Inugami Korone had to cancel her stream because of a bomb scare and fans want to know if she’s safe.
Inugami Korone is one of Hololive’s most popular vtubers who debuted in 2019 alongside Shirakami Fubuki, Ookami Mio, and Nekomata Okayu. The vtuber quickly became beloved among fans and currently has more than 2 million subs on YouTube. While Korone is talented in streaming retro games, she is also a specialist in martial arts such as boxing. Recently, Inugami Korone had to cancel a stream which surprised fans as they were unsure of the reason.
Now there are reports that someone there was a bomb threat against Inugami Korone, which caused the vtuber to cancel her stream.
A Korone impersonator known as Korone Quotes Dog Bot messaged the citizen-run Noto Peninsula Earthquake Center to claim he’d bomb Korone’s house.
The citizen who runs the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Center posted a screenshot of a conversation they had with Korone Quotes Dog Bot on the social platform X. In the message, Korone Quotes Dog Bot claims that he will bomb Korone’s house. Furthermore, the bot threatened the prime minister of Japan Shigeru Ishiba as well, making things much more severe.
While there is no official confirmation from Hololive or Korone, this is likely why the vtuber canceled her stream. It would have been risky to take the threat lightly so it’s understandable that the vtuber decided to take precautions. Fans have offered the vtuber support in this difficult time and expressed their anger at the Korone impersonator for threatening their favorite vtuber.
An X user posted the original Korone bomb threat and other messages by the Korone bot in a tweet on X. The X user claimed that the bot is a schizophrenic and his words need to be taken with a grain of salt.
In the tweets shared by the X user, the bot claims he was sued by Cover because he had damaged the reputation of Korone. In another tweet, the bot claims both the president of Cover and Korone came to him to apologize, although it’s improbable that actually happened.
