Did a Klombo return just leak for Lego Fortnite?

It looks like klombo will finally return to Fortnite, with leaks all but confirming that they are coming to Lego Fortnite.

Fortnite v30.30 is coming soon and some interesting leaks have been revealed ahead of the big update. One of the most-discussed parts of the update is the introduction of klombos in Lego Fortnite, a standalone game mode that’s focused on building and survival rather than battle royale chaos. It’s not quite the long-awaited return fans have wanted to the battle royale, but its still a deal for the creature’s many fans.

Here’s a refresher on what klombos are and how we know they’ll be coming back in Lego Fortnite.

Klombos return leaked for Lego Fortnite

Trusted leakers in the Fortnite community have announced that klombos have been found within the game files. Reputed leaker Blortzen showed some in-game files that name klombos in Lego Fortnite. Their codename is Buttercake, which is directly within the files.

This aligns with previous leaks of the 2024 roadmap for Fortnite, which showed klombos coming to Lego Fortnite before it was deleted. Some have claimed this roadmap leak is fake although many things from the roadmap have come true either way.

The Fortnite community reacted with excitement over klombos likely return. The wholesome creature is beloved in the Fortnite community although some players wanted it to return to battle royale as well. For now, klombos will be part of the Battle Bus update on August 6, since photos of a klombo included a Battle Bus in the background. The Battle Bus update adds fast travel to Lego Fortnite as well as the option to sleep throughout the entire night to avoid challenging nighttime chaos, toys to utilize, and more content that hasn’t been confirmed yet, which potentially includes klombos.

Wait, so what are klombos in Fortnite?

Klombos in Fortnite are a fan-favorite animal NPC that used to roam the map trading loot and attacking unruly players.

Klombos were first introduced to Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 1. Despite looking like a giant dinosaur with rough scales and sharp teeth, the klombo is a kind and calm creature that players can approach without getting attacked. In fact, players could even climb on klombos and ride them around. When attacked, however, klombos turned red and went into a violent rage.

Despite their popularity with players, klombos were removed from the game in Chapter 4 Season 1, as they no longer fit the theme of the game. With Epic looking back on Fortnite’s history to inspire future patches, klombos are a natural readdition to the game. If they prove popular in Lego Fortnite, there’s always a chance that klombos could return to the main battle royale game mode.
