Nicolai “device” Reedtz is on the verge of joining 100 Thieves’ CS2 roster. The negotiations between the Danish AWPer and the Californian organization are at “advanced stages,” according to reports from HLTV.org and Dust2.dk.
Should the move come to fruition, device would part ways with Astralis for the second time in his career. He rejoined the Danish organization in 2022 following a tumultuous stint with Ninjas in Pyjamas.
On the other hand, by joining 100 Thieves, device would reunite with his former Astralis IGL, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander. They’ve won four CS:GO Majors together between 2017 and 2019, and 100 Thieves is set to appoint gla1ve as the CS2 head coach.
These reports come one week after Astralis left the StarLadder Budapest Major following an elimination to Team Liquid in Stage 2. The Danish organization failed to impress at the tournament, despite missing all five Majors prior to Budapest.
Astralis also seems to be under financial stress at the moment. Despite the acquisition by Fusion Esports Group in September, the Astralis players and staff attended the Major with salaries delayed, as the organization failed to pay those due at the beginning of December.

100 Thieves, on the other hand, has secured ample resources to re-enter Counter-Strike esports, as it landed a landmark partnership with crypto casino Roobet, which will include a training facility in Serbia.
At the moment, Håvard “rain” Nygaard is the only official piece in 100 Thieves’ CS2 roster. The former FaZe Clan star have joined 100 Thieves on the premise of becoming an IGL for the first time in his career. But, as 100 Thieves need a roster ahead of the start of the 2026 season, the organization should announce gla1ve and device soon.
It remains unclear, though, whether 100 Thieves will purchase a core from another organization or assemble its team from scratch.
