Max “Demon1” Mazanoy is a talented FPS player who hasmade a name for himself in Valorant, and here are the setting he used to reach the top.
Demon1 started playing Valorant in 2022 and has already proven himself as a top player. He was crowned the MVP of Valorant Champions 2023 after tying with Zachary “Zekken” Patrone for most kills in a single VCT international series that same event. Demon1 was also named Esports Breakthrough Player of the Year at the Esports Awards that same year.
Now, Demon1 plays for NRG as a substitute. He streams on Twitch and posts videos on YouTube, where he posts entertaining videos about Valorant competitive play.
Valorant players can use Demon1’s settings at home, including his mouse, crosshair, and video settings, to try and replicate the hotshot’s success. Check them out here.

On top of having optimal settings, Demon1 also has an aim routine to help him keep up his mechanical skills in Valorant. He has a whole video on it, but most of it takes place in Aim Lab.
In the Aim Lab, he starts with speed switch. In this practice, the goal is to move your mouse over all of the red dots as fast and accurately as possible. Demon1 said to not focus on the score, but instead try to build muscle memory for movement. See how it feels to swap from target to target, developing tracking and speed.
Wavy switch is “one of his favorites.” The targets are moving, helping players work on their tracking as they go up, down, left, and right. Bounce track has aimers keeping a mouse hovering over a single ball as it moves around the screen. Demon1 said he doesn’t do that one too much, just once or twice a day is all.
The entirety of Demon1’s aim routine takes about 20 to 30 minutes. He focuses on tracking and flicking consistently.
