But can it run Crysis?
Oct. 12 marks the launch of the first line of 40 series NVIDIA graphics cards launch. Select retailers across the world are pushing out the highest of the 40 series, the 4090.
For the low price of $1599, $1600 for the sake of rounding up, you can have the best of the best in your PC.
Listen, I’m no expert in graphical cards and how sheep with horns can improve your PC. That being said, for $1,600 it better make video games look like dreams.
You can check out our full breakdown of the newest cards and games that’ll receive a boost here.
One YouTuber managed to shell out the cash for it. His first game? Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 running on RTX 4090 is incredible
In a three-minute video, YouTube Parris runs CD PR’s masterpiece of a title. He enables raytracing, and his footage is powered by the brand-new DLSS 3 feature.
What is shown is borderline incredible especially if you take into the fact that it’s Cyberpunk 2077.
I actually thought Cyberpunk 2077 looked decent/good on PS4 during my playthrough. The next-gen update that was released earlier this year upped the ante a bit which was a nice touch.
However, the RTX 4090 boost is absurd and quite noticeable.
Causally walking the streets of Night City, Parris manages to capture the sights of the city after dark. It looks really good as the neon lights shine bright, and it runs smooth as butter in all its 4K glory.
Devil’s Advocate time. We didn’t see any real-time combat so who knows how it runs in the heat of the moment.
I imagine as time passes, we’ll get more footage of the beast with teams like Digital Foundry putting in overtime to do comparison videos.
Summary: it’ll cost you a lot, but it seems like it’ll be worth the headache.
