There are so many statements in esports with nonsense org bullshit.
I read between the lines of the press releases and serve my findings to you.
Nothing better than the smell of fresh PR crap in the morning.
Dignitas’ statement
We want to build a competitive roster…
What they really meant
The novelty of having the old NiP roster has worn off, and nobody seems to care about f0rest in 2022. In this case, ‘competitive’ is quite similar to ‘competitive salary’ in a job advert.
Dignitas’ statement
…and while we hoped this iteration of the roster could achieve better results, missing the current CSGO Major means that we have to reconsider our path forward.
What they really meant
What’s the point in having f0rest if we can’t even get it on stickers? We’ve finally realised that people only liked these players because they won, and now they don’t win.
Dignitas’ statement
Effective today, all of the players are available for transfer while we explore various iterations of a revised roster which may still include players currently part of Dignitas.
What they really meant
Please give us some money so we can make up what we wasted. We didn’t make the Major and the team has no resale value, so we’ll take anything. If we can’t sell ’em, we’ll have to keep ’em.
Dignitas’ statement
However, we are making all players available to give each player a fair opportunity to find the right fit, whether with Dignitas or not.
What they really meant
This statement wasn’t long enough, so we’ll say the same thing as above and hope nobody notices.
Please buy them.
Dignitas’ statement
In the coming weeks, we’ll be evaluating our future in CS:GO in hopes of building a compelling roster that will compete for titles.
What they really meant
All of a sudden we care about winning.
We’re setting up our excuse for leaving; creating a title-winning roster on Dignitas is going to be near-impossible, and we can use the excuse of not being able to as cover to leave the scene quietly.
