The many scandals of Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov continued to pile up when he and his wife announced the start of a divorce.
The former captain of Natus Vincere announced the start of separation with his wife Anzhelika “LiQueen” Ezieva through his personal Telegram channel on June 8, 2022. The CSGO star proposed to his wife after winning the 2021 Stockholm Major, indicating that the marriage lasted less than a year. In that time, Boombl4’s spouse landed him in hot water multiple times due to comments about global conflicts and her own professional history.
Now that strange chapter of Boombl4’s career has hopefully come to a close.
Boombl4 explained why he and his wife got divorced, claiming her mental state was the primary factor.
“I can say that we are finally getting a divorce because there is just something so messed up inside her head. I would like to apologize for everything that was thrown on the Internet. I was ashamed of all this, but, unfortunately, I could not control it. I understand everything perfectly. Nothing more to say; it’s just a facepalm,” said Boombl4 on his Telegram channel.
LiQueen has been the source of multiple controversies surrounding Boombl4. She made comments on social media regarding the situation in Ukraine that put the shot-caller at odds with his Ukrainian teammates. Some fans theorize that the comments led to Boombl4 leaving Natus Vincere despite winning the Stockholm Major less than a year prior. These rumors were never confirmed by the organization or its players.
Boombl4’s wife claims to have leaked nude pics of Boombl4, but they have largely been taken off the internet.
According to fans, Boombl4’s private pictures, which may or may not have contained his privates, were disseminated through social media by LiQueen. These images were largely removed some time after their release. The leaked images also included photos of Boombl4 appearing to take some sort of drug through his nose.
In addition to leaking these photos, LiQueen dropped a scathing quote about Boombl4 through her Telegram.
“Boombl4 is a big fat lesbian and loves to suck c—-. He dreams about it! And he is also a complete mephedrone addict. He betrayed me more than once and hurt me a lot. On this basis, we are divorced,” said LiQueen, according to a translation.
Boombl4 is still playing competitive CS2 after what happened between him and his wife and currently plays for Cloud9.
The decorated captain sat on the bench for Navi before transferring to 1win for the remainder of CSGO’s competitive circuit. He left shortly after the release of CS2 to join Cloud9 once Heroic sold the roster. The team now competes at a high level in the European tournament scene. Still, it’s success is nowhere close to where Navi was during its era before and after the Stockholm Major.
Under Boombl4’s command, Cloud9 has won several qualifiers and appeared at multiple top-level events. The squad even made a surprise deep run at the PGL Copenhagen Major in 2024, landing 4th-8th and $45,000. The team also earned a trophy at Thunderpick European Series #2, defeating GamerLegion, BetBoom Team, and Zero Tenacity to take it home.
Here’s the roster of Boombl4’s CS2 team Cloud9 as of late 2024.
