CS2 YouTuber and streamer Renyan has been banned from Twitch, and fans are trying to figure out why.
Renyan has built up a loyal community with his entertaining Counter-Strike 2 content, including taking on blatant hackers and beating toxic players. He currently has almost 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and Twitch, showing that he’s growing in popularity due to his blend of highly skilled gameplay and humorous in-game challenges.
What led to his ban this time around?
CS2 streamer Renyan did not get banned on Twitch for drunk driving, and a slur from another player is probably to blame.
Renyan has built up a dedicated community that has a bunch of inside jokes and memes about the CS2 streamer. One continued joke is that Renyan is “racist” and loves to “drink and drive” on stream. Some even joked that he “showed his meat” on Twitch. Renyan’s own X biography reads “drunk driving enthusiast.” The reality is that Renyan very likely did not do anything that dramatic. It’s more probable that it was due to a toxic encounter with another player.
According to Renyan, a teammate used a “homophobic slur” during a game that Renyan was streaming. After hearing the slur, Renyan claimed that he told everyone to use clean language since he was streaming, which he said was respected. A fan pointed out, however, that another CS2 player had used the “n-word” at the end of the stream.
At this point, it was too late. Renyan’s stream was abruptly stopped by Twitch. He received an email about the ban, which claimed it was due to “hateful conduct.” This includes promoting or encouraging the discrimination of a group of people.
“Apparently I’m either racist or homophobic or something,” Renyan tweeted.
Renyan was banned four months ago as well. It’s unclear why this ban occurred but based on a lot of his content revolving around interacting with toxic players, it wouldn’t be surprising if this was also due to language.
Some fans asked Renyan how long the ban will be for but he hasn’t answered yet.
Renyan has been banned, before so the suspension might be a bit longer than in previous incidents. He will most likely give fans an update on his next stream soon.
