HEROIC replaces LNZ with Chr1zN

Chr1zN, former OG player, joins HEROIC.

HEROIC has announced the addition of former OG captain Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard as its new CS2 IGL. The young Dane will replace HEROIC’s previous IGL Linus “LNZ” Holtäng, effectively immediately.

Chr1zN had been looking for a new team since OG benched him and Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi in October to make room for the arrival of Casper “cadiaN” Møller in November. Chr1zN now finds himself on HEROIC, who opted to bench LNZ after the team failed to qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major.

The move to HEROIC will see Chr1zN reunite with Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo, his former coach at MOUZ NXT, who’s been coaching HEROIC since June 2025. He briefly stood in for HEROIC back in 2023, as an AWPer IGL, but the move didn’t pan out, and he’s a rifler IGL nowadays.

The young Dane released a personal statement about joining HEROIC and the time he spent on OG, which he helped to qualify for the BLAST.tv Austin Major earlier this year.

As my contract with OG was heading towards its end, the timing felt right for a new chapter. I am really happy that everything is finally in place to begin this exciting project with HEROIC.

Thank you to OG for betting on me when I was an academy player, and for working with me to make this move happen. A huge thank you to my teammates and staff for the memories and grind we shared.

Time to lead a group of hungry, talented young players.

HEROIC hopes that the addition of Chr1zN will help steer the team back to playing in tier-one events and qualifying for the next Major, which is IEM Cologne in 2026.

The international team had decent results this year, but results soured after the departures of the AWPer Álvaro “SunPayus” García, the head coach Eetu “sAw” Saha, and the star rifler Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich in the off-season.

HEROIC have no events scheduled for the foreseeable future, so Chr1zN will likely make his debut at the start of 2026.
