Earning Armory Credits is no easy feat in Counter-Strike 2, especially when a single star gets a mere sticker. Unsurprisingly, the CS2 community has gelled together to farm Armory credits in a rather interesting way.
Inflation seems to be hitting CS2 hard, because players are now required to pay up even if they want to detach a charm on their weapon skin. A random skin costs four hard-earned Armory Credits, only available to those who buy a $16 pass. Even then, chances of landing a clean M4A1-S Fade remain vague. Those aiming high for Heat Treated deagle in factory new would need to put in extra work to earn 25 Armory credits. All of this has forced players to log back into their Steam accounts and grind CS2. However,
300 XP translates to only one Armory Credit, which means progress is awfully slow. But, if anything, the pass has brought all CS2 players together to farm Armory credits.
CS2 players are farming Armory credits by intentionally getting themselves killed in casual.
Kinship is at an all-time high in CS2 since Valve announced the Armory pass. Players are now joining casual mode and wrapping up the rounds faster with a mutual understanding in order to earn Armory credits.
Following the Armory pass announcement, player Hugo shared a humorous clip from CS2 casual mode. In the footage, both CTs and Ts, discarding their utility items while firing at each other. The chaotic two-minute round surprisingly ended in just 10 seconds, rapidly distributing playtime XP among all players.
Without any hacks and tricks, earning Armory credits to buy all existing items will take playing roughly 40 competitive games. Even then, it’s not guaranteed that desired items will get unlocked on the first try. So, it’s safe to say that these skins are not easy to get. As a result, players have resorted to Armory credits farming.
Players can earn more credits quickly by grinding non-serious modes like casual, arms race, or deathmatch. While wrapping up games rapidly is certainly a viable method, it’s tough to find lobbies where all 20 players are willing to rush mid and die. Still, the Armory craze may drive more players to try out this trick and get their dream skins quicker.
