Black Ops 6 Zombies is perfect for players looking to experience the classic Call of Duty survival mode, with a modern twist in maps tailored for both nostalgia-hungry veterans and newcomers alike.
When Treyarch announced that Zombies in Black Ops 6 would return to the traditional round-based style instead of the open-world extraction formula seen in Modern Warfare 3, many series fans were excited. After a full four years since Black Ops Cold War, the developer was finally bringing back a format that had once been the backbone of the game mode’s identity.
The even better news was that the game launched with six maps that were deeply rooted in the series’ Dark Aether lore, tying classic characters like Edward Richtofen into new and exciting storylines.
Each of the Black Ops 6 Zombies maps are peppered with dangerous gimmicks, giving players plenty of good reasons to poke around, experiment, and see what secrets they can reveal. Here are all the maps in the game mode, with some key information to keep in mind on each.
Set in West Virginia during the early 1990s, Liberty Falls is one of the most visually pleasant Zombies maps in the Black Ops 6 lineup. The main quest revolves around locating Project Janus’ experiments hidden deep beneath the small West Virginia town.

Players follow steps to craft the Thrustodyne jet engine Wonder Weapon, battle special enemies the likes of Manglers and Abominations, and eventually expose the facility’s connection to the Dark Aether while advancing Richtofen’s storyline.
Set on a prison island in the Philippine Sea, Terminus delivers a claustrophobic Zombies experience that’s sure to thrill most players who take it for a spin. The facility has been overtaken by Project Janus, transforming its cells and corridors into bio-research labs crawling with abominations.

Players must fight through tight quarters, balancing mobility with survival, while lurking dangers like Patient 13 and massive tentacle creatures surround the complex. With deadly traps, hidden experiments, and a quest tied to Dark Aether energy, Terminus can be a tricky location to tackle.
Located in Avalon, Citadelle des Morts continues the story after Terminus, reuniting players with Sergei Ravenov and forcing them into labyrinthine halls filled with deadly traps and deep secrets.

Oil traps and arcane wards add both the need for strategy and a sense of real danger, punishing poor team positioning. As one of the game mode’s most atmospheric maps, Citadelle des Morts captures the ghostly beauty of classic Zombies settings while pushing the lore deeper into its supernatural roots for Black Ops 6.
Guided by recordings left by Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe, players must use an ancient amulet to access the Doorway to Nowhere in The Tomb, then confront the dangers of the Dark Aether Nexus.

Players will shoot crystals and constellations, follow a mysterious purple orb, and use the upgraded Ull’s Arrow to complete trials involving Vermin, Parasite, Doppelghast, and Amalgam statues. Despite all of that, it’s really the final boss fight against the Sentinel Artifact that makes the Tomb a tough nut to crack.
In Shattered Veil, players explore the decaying halls of Colton Hall while chasing down the secrets of the Sentinel Artifact. Along the way they meet S.A.M., an AI version of Samantha Maxis. The map mixes open rooms with tight corridors and brings back the Wunderwaffe DG-2. The real tension here comes from new enemies like the Elder Disciple, who empowers nearby zombies when left to its own devices. Be sure to deal with it quickly.

Shattered Veil a large map, split into five separate tactical areas. It has a variety of spots that players will want to take proper advantage of in taking fights, and the map may require some practice in order to overcome its challenges.
Reckoning serves as the climax of the Black Ops 6 Zombies saga, as this map is set deep inside the towering Janus Towers complex. Players navigate the complex’s vertical levels with teleporters, elevators, and parachute jumps, all while fighting through the expected waves of enemies.

Due to the map’s design, exploration is absolutely necessary here, and hidden quests demand cooperation to unlock the game mode’s ending.
It’s worth noting that all six maps are connected by a cohesive narrative, encouraging players to take them on in the proper order and pay close attention as the game reveals just how its story concludes.
