Fears have turned into reality.
In a major (no pun intended) setback, China’s worst fears regarding the ESL One Stockholm Dota 2 Major 2022 have come true.
The DPC China 2021/22 Division I Tour 2 winners, PSG.LGD, recently announced on weibo about their inability to apply for visas.
China, especially Shanghai, is under strict lockdown for nearly a month amid the surge in COVID 19 cases.
The common public is under “quarantine” and “home isolation” due to the stringent lockdown rules issued by the Chinese authorities, to curtail the spread of COVID19.
The DPC CN Tour 2 Regional Final will be played from May 6 – 8 for the upcoming Stockholm Major 2022.
Though CN teams will not be traveling to Sweden, you can still catch them battling it out in an elimination bracket next month in all the usual places.https://t.co/ruyHm2vQ1H pic.twitter.com/RybxjZqgH8

The movement of people has been restricted, as they are unable to venture out of their houses even for their basic needs.
These restrictions have played spoilsport and has caused a dent, not only for PSG.LGD, but also other Chinese teams that have qualified to the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022.
As such, in the current scenario, all Chinese teams won’t be attending the Major.
As an alternative, Chinese teams will be in action at the DPC CN Tour 2 Regional Finals in an elimination bracket from May 6 – 8.
