
CS2 players are bringing their best skins to EWC, and one costs more than a college education.
The Counter-Strike 2 section of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh will feature a massive prize pool, and players are arriving dressed to the nines. Rare CS2 skins are already known for being super expensive. Fans can expect some gems to appear with the cream of the crop competing in the World Cup. The analysts at cs.money have done the legwork by looking at public data of competitors participating in the World Cup. They considered the market value of the skin and the used stickers but didn’t consider the crafting cost.
The results are the top EWC skins with eye-watering price tags.
An AWP | Dragon Lore owned by Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov from G2 Esports is the most expensive skin appearing at EWC.
The AWP skin also boasts 14 rare Kato holo stickers, including VP, iBP, Reason, and Titan. The collectible status of the items, along with the crafting, pushes the skin’s value over $110,000. Nikola “NiKo” Kovač from team G2 again uses the second most expensive skin. His AWP Gungnir, with factory-new quality and Crown Foil and G2 Gold stickers, is estimated to be worth $11,600.
Most of the guns on the top ten EWC skins cost above $10,000, making it a pricey list. Reigning major MVP Justinas “jL” Lekavičius also ranks with their AWP | Gungnir featuring a DickStacy Gold Katowice 19 sticker, reaching a value of around $11,000.
According to the estimates, team Natus Vincere had the most expensive EWC skins in the tournament, and three of its guns made it to the top ten list.
Coming in third is a StatTrak™ M4A4 with a Dragon Lore sticker used by Valerij “b1t” Vakhovsjkyj. The M4A4 is estimated to cost over $12,000. The player also came with an AK-47 | Wild Lotus with an estimated value of around $9,000. This pushes team NaVi’s total to over $30,000 without factoring in the craft value.
As expected from top-ranked players, most of the skins on the list are AWPs. It’s an essential weapon in the game, and every sniper wants to land their shots with style.
