CDL Major II is coming to DreamHack Birmingham 2026

The Call of Duty League is officially bringing Major II to DreamHack Birmingham 2026, as per an announcement yesterday (Oct. 29). Set to run between March 27-29, the CDL Major II is shaping up to be one of the biggest CDL events yet.

After a huge turnout at the last DreamHack stop, the League’s heading back to the UK with a brand-new 10-team format. As per the announcement, “Fans can expect three days of non-stop action, high-stakes matchups, and an electric live atmosphere as the world’s top Call of Duty teams go head-to-head.”

*Update 30/10/25: The Major II format was clarified in a recent video. It will be a ’10-team tournament’ overall, but “Top 6 from qualifiers will go straight to main bracket 7-10 will compete in a play-in to take the final two spots.”

CDL Major II will headline DreamHack Birmingham 2026

Online qualifiers for CDL Major II will take place between Feb. 13 and March 22 leading into the huge LAN stage.

But beyond just the hype of a regular Major, there’s the extra passion from DreamHack being added into the mix, in front a packed UK audience. Expect incredible energy as the mix of esports, creators, and a festival vibe makes DreamHack the perfect home for CDL Major II.

Details including invited teams and qualifier format are currently sparse, although we know this will be a 10-team major, for the first time ever.

The full CDL 2026 season was revealed on Oct. 28, unveiling both the Birmingham, UK venue, and the three other Major locations. The CDL will first head to Dallas, Texas, before hopping over the pond for DreamHack. Major III will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, before once gain heading across the Atlantic for Major IV in Paris, France.

Finally, Championship Weekend will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Call of Duty League Championship 2026 will be OpTic Texas’ chance to become the first ever three-time champions.
