BuckeFPS banned from Twitch, what we know and if it’s permanent

BuckeFPS Twitch ban

Twitch has banned Fortnite player and streamer Logan “BuckeFPS” Eschenburg for the fourth time, and viewers already want to know both what rule he broke and when he’ll return.

BuckeFPS is an American professional Fortnite player currently playing for Swamp Gaming. He has been playing Fortnite professionally for almost a decade now, though the player had a setback in 2023 when Epic Games disqualified him from FNCS Denmark. During the same period, BuckeFPS was banned from Twitch, leaving many of his fans to feel that he just couldn’t catch a break.

BuckeFPS was again banned on Twitch in 2024 for calling out a trans woman for participating in a female-only cup event. Now he’s in trouble with Twitch once again as the platform banned BuckeFPS for the fourth time on May 31, 2025. Fans have been tweeting and asking what led to the ban as his most recent VOD offered few hints, but more evidence has emerged speaking to what likely led to the suspension.

Why was BuckeFPS banned from Twitch?

It has been claimed that Twitch banned BuckeFPS for making a stereotypical joke about fellow Fortnite player Jeffrey “AsianJeff” Chong, and corroborating evidence seems to reinforce this claim.

Twitch hasn’t issued a statement to clarify why BuckeFPS was banned, which is the usual practice for the streaming platform. The Fortnite player also hasn’t explained to fans directly why he was banned, so the official reason and ban duration were left up to fans to discover. Luckily for those curious, a viewer posted to social media a likely explanation for what BuckeFPS did and what may have led to Twitch taking action against his channel.

BuckeFPS Twitch ban

An X user tweeted claiming that the Fortnite player was apparently joking about AsianJeff during a stream. BuckeFPS apparently said that AsianJeff should know karate just because he’s of Asian descent. The Fortnite player allegedly also referred to AsianJeff as “Mr. Miyagi,” a reference to a famous marital arts character in film. These comments may have been meant as jokes and delivered in a lighter vein because of the friendship between the two Fortnite players, but making racist jokes or harassing someone because of their ethnicity is firmly against Twitch’s Community Guidelines and grounds for a ban.

While the claim has been disputed, a community moderator for BuckeFPS soon followed up with apparent confirmation by noting in his own post that the streamer had been banned for the use of “hateful slurs or symbols.” This would line up with the claim of comments made towards AsianJeff. What’s more, the post included a screenshot of Bucke remarking on the ban apparently being set at a lengthy six months.

The streamer’s channel only displays that it’s temporarily suspended for violating the platform’s Guidelines, which would line up with this discovery. If BuckeFPS did make the stereotypical jokes then that may have been why Twitch suspended his channel. Twitch takes harassment seriously even if comments made are meant as jokes. It’s clear from the message displayed on BuckeFPS’s channel that his ban isn’t permanent. But with the content creator being a repeat offender, he may indeed have landed himself a six-month ban, and that means a long, unplanned vacation for the streamer.
