Bilibili Gaming (BLG) and G2 Esports have both won their opening match of First Stand. Now, they’ll face off to determine which of them will advance to the Knockout stage first. The other one will get a second chance on Friday.
Does the one hope of Europe stand a chance against the LPL giant at First Stand 2026?
Betting tip: Going into the match, BLG are the strong favorite. While G2 won both of their latest encounters, this wasn’t indicative of the match-up. In a best-of-five and looking at their relative current strength, G2 are the underdog by far.
My Bilibili Gaming vs G2 Esports pick: Over 3.5 maps at GG.BET.

Simply put, BLG should crush G2 in the early game. Bin terrorized Clear in their series and was a centerpiece of their victory in several games. As for BrokenBlade, he made great contributions against Team Secret Whales but fell behind early on each time. While his ability to recover afterwards is great, Bin will exploit this early gap, and this is a serious enough breach for G2.
Mid lane also drastically went BLG’s favor, but this is less of a concern. Caps remains G2’s core player and he can withstand or even beat Knight based on his form. The other issue lies in the jungle department, though.
While SkewMond is an excellent calculated player, his playstyle favors a quieter early. In the meantime, Xun will position to affect his solo lanes early on. Everything worrisome for G2 regarding Knight and Bin is further amplified by this.
Bot lane is where lower stakes lie, and the area both teams are less likely to put focus on.
G2 wants to keep the early game quieter and let Caps ramp up and influence the map from there. Afterwards, they want to bank on teamfights and on their excellent mid game.
BLG, on the other hand, want to create chaos. The game plan for the LPL representative will be to put pressure in lane. That will put their lane opponents into dangerous positions, and it’s then on Xun and ON to capitalize.

Both teams have a clear plan, but BLG should manage to force theirs. Bilibili Gaming has experience facing more teamfight-oriented teams, and they know how to not let them have their ways. G2 can play from a deficit, but that’s not a reassuring plan to go with.
