BLAST Slam VI Play-In Picks
BLAST Slam VI is utilizing a last-chance play-in system to whittle down 10 teams to just four for the playoff quarterfinals. With that in mind, we’ve put together a quick list of our picks to make it out of the Play-Ins and to the Playoffs.
- It’s impossible to count out
Team Falcons,
as the team is just too stacked with talent to stay down. Their last-day defeat of Tundra Esports proved they’re finally finding their feet after perhaps taking a little too much down time over the holidays. When they’re on form, the Falcons are the best team in the world, and if they can reach that form in-time they’re on track to make the playoffs.
- Team Liquid
is always dangerous. Exuding a quiet confidence in their playstyle and drafting, the team are never far from the top of the tables, and should be a shoe-in for the playoffs. With a high bracket start in the Play-In, they’ll face either a struggling MOUZ lineup, or a shaky GamerLegion. We think they’ll beat both.
- Tundra Esports
are still our pick to win it all. We think that backed by the likes of Neta “33” Shapira, it’s hard not to pick them. The solid drafts and plodding playstyle that whittles down opponents with efficiency and lack of mistakes is hard to beat, especially early in the season where teams are less practiced or disciplined than Tundra.
- Our final pick is
Team
Yandex. We don’t expect them to have any trouble defeating Team Spirit, especially with the poor form that the new lineup has been showing. Yandex is just a strong team with a lot of confidence built around a strong core and support duo. We’d pick them to make it to the Playoffs easily.
BLAST Slam VI Playoff Quarterfinals Picks
We’ll update this section as the playoffs advance, but give current
Dota 2 betting
predictions:
- With our current predictions,
Team Falcons
will likely face off against
Team Liquid. We’d have to say Team Falcons have the advantage in this matchup historically, especially in a best-of-three situation.
- On the other side of the bracket, we expect
Yandex
will be facing off against
Tundra. If this is the case, expect Tundra to replicate their Group Stage success and hold Team Yandex at bay. While not always a great matchup for them, Tundra has consistently proven it can beat Yandex in past tournaments.
