Tundra Esports has defeated Team Falcons in the grand finals of BLAST Slam IV in Singapore. The European team took down Falcons in a tightly contested Grand Finals on Sunday, Nov. 9.
After three games of back-and-forth, both teams drafted and banned the exact same heroes for games four and five, meaning Tundra were able to beat Falcons definitively in a dominant display.
This finals was a historic occasion, as it’s only the second time in Dota 2 history that two teams have drafted and banned the exact same heroes for two games in a row, as per Dota 2 stats man Noxville. The last time this happened wasn’t in a finals, or even a main event either, it was NoPing vs. Infamous at MDL Chengdu SA Qualifiers in 2019.
With the win, Tundra becomes a three-time winner of BLAST Slam events, a streak currently unmatched in major competition series. Tundra also has a history of victories in Singapore, with the team winning TI11 in 2022 in the very same area. It’s worth noting that this was BLAST’s first Dota 2 arena show, and Tundra and Falcons certainly made it an exciting one for fans in attendance.

Of those incredible achievements mentioned above, though, only one player has been present for all of them: Neta “33” Shapira. The offlaner is already regarded as one of the best ever, but with his ever-expanding trophy case (Two TI wins and dozens of Majors), it’s even easier now to argue his greatness.
But if we had to pick one MVP from the finals, it would be Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko. The young journeyman has bounced between BetBoom Team and Tundra Esports, racking up victories for both. However, this clutch win over Team Falcons might be his most impressive, with his Morphling hyper-carrying Game 5.
With the victory, Tundra Esports heads home with $300,000 for the players, and $100,000 for the team. Falcons receive $150,000 of player prize money, and $50,000 for the team.
And for those excited for more BLAST Slam action, you won’t have to wait long. As the top-three from the fourth edition, MOUZ Esports, Team Falcons, and Tundra Esports are all directly invited to BLAST Slam V which takes place in Chengdu, China, from Nov. 25 until Dec. 7.
