After a week of clashes and a 3-1 against G2 Esports, Bilibili Gaming takes home the First Stand 2026 trophy. This is the first international trophy for the LPL in nearly three years, since JD Gaming’s win against BLG at MSI 2023. Here’s a breakdown of the LoL First Stand 2026 finals.
G2 came into the series by deciding to adopt BLG’s game. The LEC champion brought the unique picks and the all-around chaos to match that of Bilibili Gaming.
At first, that worked relatively well. G2 was ahead for most of game 1. Then, BLG scaled and claimed the lead back, until the Europeans had an excellent fight at Baron to win out of nowhere. Off the back of a monstrous performance by Caps, G2 Esports was up 1-0.
Game 2 was BLG’s through and through. The LPL’s bot lane got ahead, and with four globals in their team, they fended off every play that G2 went for. The LEC representative won a miraculous fight at the end, but armed with their Cloud Soul, BLG won right after.
The third game followed the same story and was a quick stomp by the LPL with a single fight going the other way. Not to be deterred though, G2 put up a fight again in the fourth map. The LEC players claimed kill after kill with outplays and better fights.
This entire time though, BLG was playing the map better, earning gold in turret plates. In just 26 minutes, the fourth game and the series were theirs.

The LPL has won another international, and with China denying another title from G2, the LEC will reach seven years without a win. However, no one expected either of them to win, it was obviously supposed to be Gen.G. Both their first and second places are massive achievements.
With that, G2 returns to the LEC as an actual powerhouse that clean swept the best team in the world, and BLG gives the LPL the win. As for Gen.G, they’ll probably stomp the LCK again. Next up though, how will they perform at MSI?
