This year’s Mid-Season Invitational tournament is finally here. Various professional teams worldwide fought hard to make it here, and four teams will have to work through the play-in stage to claim one of two spots moving on to the next stage, while the other two sides will face an early elimination. BLG is determined to avoid an early upset, but can bettors expect GAM to put up a real fight?
Betting tip: Bilibili Gaming has proven itself to be a force to be reckoned with and it’s hard to say the same for GAM, a team that has stumbled multiple times.
Bilibili Gaming has proven time and again that it’s one of the best LPL teams, whether by barely losing to T1 with a score of 2-3 in 2024’s Worlds grand finals or consistently ranking well in most LPL splits. While the team’s players are all fairly skilled, Elk is definitely the standout player thanks to his high carry potential. The ADC frequently single-handedly wins Bilibili games, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the same happens here against GAM.
The team’s mid-laner and jungler are also forces to be reckoned with. While XUN was a good jungler, Beichuan has been more consistent, and his synergy with the mid lane frequently shines. Bin’s consistency could be better, but he has proven multiple times that he has the skills required to thrive at high levels of play.
Then there’s GAM. The team barely has any achievements to its name in its recent history, and while it has made Worlds before, the side looks to be overmatched here. This isn’t to say that GAM isn’t any good, as Kiaya in particular stands out as an excellent top laner with high carry potential. Levi is also reliable enough for a jungler when it comes to objective acquisition and ganks, though his synergy with Emo could use a little work.
Ultimately, while GAM is an extremely strong team when it comes to playing locally, the team hasn’t proven that it has the skills required to compete against the very best sides in the world. Bettors should at least note that Artemis and Emo have showcased excellent recent gameplay in helping the team to qualify for MSI, and bringing that same energy against Bilibili could help the team’s chances of success.

It’s hard to ignore the fact that Bilibili Gaming has looked so strong in its recent matches and has gone up against much stronger teams than GAM. With a lack of proper international experience and being seemingly outmatched in terms of pure mechanical skills, GAM may not be able to perform as well as it did in the recent LCP split, and the massive difference in odds speak to that seeming separation in ability.
