The LCK Cup nears its end, and the LCK Cup playoffs lower bracket finals will take place on February 28th between BNK FEARX and Dplus KIA. The winner will join Gen.G in the grand finals and book the LCK’s second slot at First Stand 2026.
BFX vs DK looks to be the first evenly matched round in this split’s playoffs. Find out what to expect in this LCK Cup lower bracket finals preview.
Heading into the playoffs, the expectations were clear. Gen.G wins, and T1 joins them as the second seed with faint hopes of taking them down. Both Gen.G and T1 defeated each team in Group Elder, while the rest of Group Baron was a clear step below.
Then, the story quickly changed as BFX defeated T1 in upper bracket round 2 and pushed them down the lower bracket. While the champions had won against them in the group stage, FEARX took their revenge with a decisive 3-1. The celebrations then got cut short as Gen.G brought them back down to earth with a 3-1 win in the upper finals.

At the same time, DK experienced the same story, only in the inverse order. After beating DRX twice, Dplus went up against Gen.G and swiftly fell. In the lower bracket, it was their turn to face T1.
In the group stage, T1 swept DK 3-0. As they were up 2-0 and about to repeat this feat, Dplus reverse swept them and eliminated the Telecom team from the playoffs.
T1 will not be participating in First Stand 2026, and this match will decide whether DK or BFX will take the spot that was expected to be theirs.

BNK FEARX have the edge in this match-up, even as the odds go the other way:
Odds via GG.Bet on Feb. 23.
This split, BFX have shown good enough consistency.
If BFX has been consistent during this split, DK has been anything but. True to their legacy, they won matches while making their fans sweat every step of the way. DK strongly relies on ShowMaker to pull off the wins and regularly looks lost when he can’t carry.
On the flip side, Smash’s addition has powered up their roster. On top of it, in their last series against T1, DK won the final three games convincingly. This time, they didn’t need to rely on ShowMaker either.
While this is what DK fans have to hold on to for the LCK Cup lower bracket finals, BFX still has a stronger footing in this game.
