YaLLa Compass Qatar is wrapping up soon and the first semifinal match of the playoffs is an interesting one for bettors; BetBoom Team vs ENCE.
Both teams are fairly established names in Counter-Strike esports, but have had odd journeys in this event. BetBoom entered as one of the top contenders and went perfect in the group stage, but needed to fight tooth and nail for each win. Meanwhile, ENCE was the biggest name of the event but had to squeak into the playoffs with a losing group stage record.
Now these teams will come together for an interesting best-of-three match, but who should you look to bet on?
The Counter-Strike teams of BetBoom Team and ENCE will face off in a best-of-three match in the semifinals of YaLLa Compass Qatar’s playoffs. This is an elimination match with the winner heading to the finals while the loser heads home. The loser gets the third-place prize of $10,500.
BetBoom Team entered YaLLa Compass Qatar on a bit of a skid, posting underwhelming showings in tier-two leagues and washing out of qualifiers for big tournaments. You wouldn’t realize looking at how the team has performed in Qatar, though.
The Russian team has gone a perfect 5-0 during this event, ending the group stage with a 5-0 record. Here is the BetBoom Team roster:
BetBoom Team has gone a perfect 7-0 on Train in 2025 while being very strong on Anubis and Mirage, with a 12-4 and 14-5 record on the maps, respectively. It’s closer to even on Nuke and Ancient. Conversely, the team has been unusually weak on Dust 2, with a 1-9 record. It has also just played one game on Inferno thus far in 2025, which was a win over Spirit Academy earlier in this tournament.
Despite being led by one of the most decorated players in Counter-Strike history, ENCE has looked the part of a middling tier-two team. The team has been posting underwhelming results in regional leagues and consistently falling short in regional qualifiers for larger tournaments.
ENCE hasn’t looked particularly strong in YaLLa Compass Qatar, going 2-3 in the group stage. The team did post its best showing of the event in its playoffs match against 9Pandas, but the ENCE roster will need to up its game further here:
ENCE’s go-to map in 2025 has been Ancient, though it hasn’t actually been very good there, with a 11-12 record. Anubis has been its best map, going 9-5 in 2025. It’s roughly 50-50 on every other map, save its preferred auto-ban, Inferno.
ENCE and BetBoom Team have played each other twice so far; both of which were best-of-ones related to YaLLa Compass Qatar. On April 2, BetBoom beat ENCE 13-3 in the qualifiers. In the group stage, BetBoom won again with a 13-11 score.
BetBoom Team is a decent betting favorite over ENCE for their match in the YaLLa Compass Qatar playoffs. The moneyline on BetBoom is 1.64. ENCE, by comparison, stands at 2.2. This suggests that the bookies are fairly confident in BetBoom, but ENCE does have a reasonable chance of winning
BetBoom Team should be able to defeat ENCE in the YaLLa Compass Qatar playoffs. Though ENCE posted an impressively quick win over 9Pandas in the quarterfinals, that performance was an outlier when it comes to the team’s recent results. BetBoom has the better recent body of work and has proven itself capable of beating the likes of ENCE many times over.
