Since the inaugural season of the VALORANT Champions Tour, the eyes on VALORANT esports have been drastically increasing. In the last 5 years, we have seen multiple teams come and leave behind a dynasty. Within VALORANT esports, there have been some teams that have been quite incredible to watch and have won some major tournaments. In this article, we’ll look at the best VALORANT teams of all time in the VALORANT Champions Tour.

The first team on our list is one that recently shocked the world. It is none other than Team Heretics. This team has been quite incredible to watch since the start of the 2024 season. Team Heretics consists of some of the youngest players in the world. In 2024, they took a significant risk and signed multiple new players.
This included the likes of MiniBoo, Boo, benjyfishy, RieNs, and Wo0t. An interesting fact is that Miniboo and Boo are brothers. They started playing the game together and then joined Team Heretics to create one of the most deadly duos in VALORANT History.
In the 2024 season, this team was one of the most consistent teams in the world. During VCT EMEA Kickoff 2024, they finished in 2nd place. At the same time, their run in VALORANT Masters Madrid wasn’t ideal as they finished in 7th place. At VCT EMEA Stage One 2024, they once again finished second. They continued this run of consistency by finishing 2nd during VALORANT Masters Shanghai as well, losing to Gen G in the grand finals.
They then went on to finish 3rd at VCT EMEA Stage 2 2024 and qualified for VALORANT Champions 2024. During VALORANT Champions 2024, they reached the grand finals of the tournament, facing off against EDward Gaming.
The 2025 season has once again been filled with a lot of consistent finishes. At VCT EMEA Kickoff and Stage One 2025, they finished in 3rd and 2nd place, respectively. In the Esports World Cup X VALORANT tournament, Team Heretics became the inaugural champions, defeating FNATIC in the grand finals. This was the first major VALORANT trophy for the team. Currently, the team is qualified for the playoffs of VALORANT Champions 2025 after defeating the likes of G2 Esports and T1.
The core players of Team Heretics have proven to be one of the best teams within the VCT EMEA to date. It is unprecedented to see this form of consistency by any team within VALORANT Esports and the only reason they are our honourable mention is that the team has only won one tournament since 2023.

For older VALORANT Esports fans, this team would be quite a throwback for them. The reason Gambit Esports is on the list of the best VALORANT teams of all time is due to its dominance during the VCT 2021 season. This was before the partnership league within VALORANT Esports. This team played in multiple open qualifiers to secure their spot in VALORANT Masters Berlin 2021.
At VALORANT Masters Berlin 2021, Gambit went undefeated and secured the championship, thus becoming the first team from VCT EMEA to win a Masters tournament. They dominated Envy in the grand finals 3-0. Below is a list of all players from this team:
All the players are from Russia. We must add that nAts currently plays for Team Liquid, while Chronicle plays for Fnatic. In the 2025 season, nAts helped Team Liquid win the VCT EMEA Stage Two tournament as well. Chronicle’s name will once again come in this list.
Following VALORANT Masters Berlin 2021, Gambit Esports took part in VALORANT Champions 2021 (a list of all VALORANT Champions can be found here). During this event, Gambit Esports reached the grand finals and faced off against Ascend. The grand finals were an incredible affair between two teams from VCT EMEA.
It ended with a scoreline of 3-2 in favour of Ascend. Following this tournament, the team played a few more games together, but in 2022, the organisation disbanded, resulting in the core players going to different teams.

In 4th place on our list of greatest teams in VALORANT history is none other than Envy, ie, Optic Gaming. Optic Gaming acquired Envy in 2022. In the 2021 season, this team finished as runners-up during VALORANT Masters Berlin. In 2022, everything was about to change with the addition of Chamber to VALORANT. Below is a list of all players from this team:
In the 2022 season, this team was one of the best teams in the world. During VALORANT Masters Reykjavík 2022, the team was one of the teams to watch out for. They had an exciting rivalry with one team that many fans of VALORANT Esports will remember: LOUD Esports. LOUD and Optic Gaming first faced off in the upper bracket finals of the tournament.
In that match, LOUD defeated Optic Gaming 2-1. Optic Gaming crushed Zeta Division 3-0 in the lower bracket finals and was ready for the rematch against LOUD. In the rematch, Optic Gaming dominated LOUD and defeated them with a clean sweep 3-0 victory.
This made Optic Gaming the second team from VCT Americas to win a VALORANT Masters event. In the second international tournament of the 2022 season, VALORANT Masters Copenhagen, Optic Gaming finished 3rd.
In the group stage of this tournament, we saw LOUD face off against Optic Gaming once again in the first round elimination match. Optic Gaming continued their winning streak against them and won 2-1. Optic Gaming went on to lose to FunPlus Phoenix in the lower bracket finals and finish 3rd.
During VALORANT Champions 2022, Optic Gaming finished 2nd after losing to LOUD Esports in the grand finals of the tournament. Following this tournament, Optic didn’t get a spot in the partnership league in the VALORANT Champions Tour which marked the end of the team, with most of the players continuing their playing careers elsewhere.
Currently, yay is in Evil Genuises while Crashies is in FNATIC and playing in VALORANT Champions 2025. FNS retired in 2025 and became a VALORANT content creator known for his VALORANT watch parties.

LOUD Esports is one team that many consider to be one of the best teams in VALORANT. In the eyes of fans, this team delivered some of the best matches in VALORANT Esports history, thanks to their creative but brutal playstyle. Below is a list of all players within LOUD Esports during this time:
Everyone who has been following VALORANT Esports has likely heard of Aspas. LOUD Esports was the team where Aspas truly made a name for himself. As stated above, this team in 2022 had quite an intense rivalry with Optic Gaming. While they finished runner-ups at VALORANT Masters Reykjavik 2022, they truly showed their mettle in the VALORANT Champions 2022 tournament.
The team qualified through the group stage after losing to Optic Gaming which turned out to be a temporary setback. In the playoffs phase of the tournament, LOUD Esports defeated the likes of Leviatan, DRX, and Optic Gaming 2-0 without losing on a single map. This run of dominance finally ended Optic Gaming’s winning streak against LOUD. Optic went on to defeat DRX in the lower bracket of the tournament, thus setting up the rematch with LOUD.
During the grand finals, every single player from LOUD popped off, each of them ending with a positive KDA. Thus, LOUD Esports became the champions of VALORANT Champions 2022.
In the 2023 season, LOUD Esports maintained the same core of players, as the organisation was part of the newly formed VCT Americas Leagues.
With participation in VALORANT Champions 2023, LOUD finished in 3rd place after losing to Evil Geniuses in the lower bracket finals. Following that tournament, Aspas left LOUD Esports and joined Leviatan.
Currently, he plays for MIBR and qualified for VALORANT Champions 2025. The only player from the VALORANT Champions 2022 team still in Loud is none other than pANcada. In the 2023 season, he joined Sentinels, but returned to LOUD in 2024. Until now, the LOUD Esports 2022-23 squad has been the best team from VCT Americas that the world has ever seen.

The core of Paper Rex has stayed the same since the 2023 VCT season. The only change is the addition of PatMan during VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025. Below is a list of all players from Paper Rex during the 3 seasons:
Paper Rex has been known for one style of gameplay: W Gaming. This type of strategy consists of the team trying out different combinations of agents that other teams generally don’t want to risk. This includes the likes of Yoru, Reyna, and Harbor on the Bind map back in 2023. A funny thing was that none of these agents were the meta picks during that time.
During the 2023 season, Paper Rex ended up the inaugural champions of the VCT Pacific League. And at VALORANT Masters Tokyo, the team finished in 3rd place following a loss to Evil Geniuses in the lower bracket finals. In VALORANT Champions 2023, they were one of the best teams in the tournament.
They went undefeated in the playoffs and group stage, leading up to the grand finals. In the grand finals, they faced off against Evil Geniuses once again. Unfortunately, they lost 3-2 against the VCT Americas team.
In the 2024 season, the team finished 2nd during VCT Pacific Kickoff. They went on to finish 3rd during VALORANT Masters Madrid. Following the 3rd place finish, they were crowned Champions of VCT Pacific Stage One 2024.
While in VALORANT Masters Shanghai, the team finished in 5th (their worst finish yet), while Gen G became the first team from VCT Pacific to win an international VALORANT tournament. Paper Rex finished 3rd during VCT Pacific Stage 2 and ended the year with a disappointing 9th place finish during VALORANT Champions 2024.
In 2025, the team started the year in a non-ideal manner by finishing 7th during VCT Pacific Kickoff 2025. But this changed when VCT Pacific Stage One 2025 came and they finished in 3rd place, securing the final spot for VALORANT Masters Toronto. The rookie PatMan was added to their roster at this time.
During the Swiss stage of VALORANT Masters Toronto 2025, the team barely secured its spot in the playoffs after finishing 4th. Their confidence was relatively low, but that all changed with the playoffs. Paper Rex defeated the likes of G2 Esports, Sentinels, and Wolves Esports with a clean sweep (2-0) to reach the grand finals. In the grand finals, the team faced off against FNATIC and won the match 3-1, finally winning an international VALORANT tournament.
The reason for this team being second is due to the team sticking together for the longest time. Currently, Paper Rex is in the playoffs phase of VALORANT Champions 2025 as of the writing of this article.

While Paper Rex stuck with the same players for three years, there was one team that maintained the same core for the same amount of time and won multiple international tournaments, thus claiming the throne as the best VALORANT team of all time. It is none other than FNATIC.
FNATIC is the only team to have qualified for every single VALORANT Champions tournament since 2021. Since 2021, there has been one player who has been a part of this team, and that is Boaster. We have seen this player evolve alongside FNATIC, helping them become a Dynasty in VALORANT Esports. The Turkish ACE, Alfajer, has been a part of FNATIC since 2022. Below is a look at all players with FNATIC from 2023:
FNATIC ended the VCT 2022 season by finishing 5th during VALORANT Champions 2022. With the introduction of the VALORANT Champions Tour Partnership League, the first tournament that took place was VCT LOCK//IN in Brazil. FNATIC defeated LOUD Esports in the grand finals.
They continued this run of dominance by finishing 2nd during VCT EMEA League 2023. During VALORANT Masters Tokyo 2023, FNATIC reclaimed the throne and became the champions of the tournament. They became the first team to win two international VALORANT tournaments back-to-back. The only team other than FNATIC to win two international events is Sentinels in 2021 and 2024.
In VALORANT Champions 2023, the team couldn’t claim gold and finished in 4th place. Below is a list of all the accomplishments of the team since then
The core of Boaster, Alfajer & Chronicle has been a part of FNATIC since 2023. They are one of the few players who have won two international VALORANT tournaments.
Another player on this team is Crashies. Crashies, since his time at Optic Gaming, is finally back on top and fighting to help FNATIC win VALORANT Champions 2025. As of the writing of this article, the team has qualified for the playoff stage of the tournament.
It would be wrong to state that FNATIC is the only dynasty within VALORANT Esports. However, at the same time, it would be unfair not to acknowledge them as the best team. Only time will tell if they will become the first team to win a VALORANT Masters and a VALORANT Champions tournament at the same time.
