In 2024, Riot Games surprised the world by announcing the console version of VALORANT. Many fans expected the game to release its mobile variant first. Since its launch on consoles, the game has become one of the most popular games among console gamers. Following multiple updates, the console and PC versions of VALORANT have no differences in game modes and maps. But since console players don’t use a mouse to aim, they are at a slight disadvantage (even with auto-aim). Therefore, we’ve prepared a list of the best VALORANT agents on console which are impactful yet not too difficult to use.

The first agent on our list is Raze. One shared trait between most agents on this list is that they have more abilities focused on mobility. A reason for this is that when you play on a console, you have a lot more freedom to learn how to memorise these abilities. With Raze, you have her sachets that propel her to a given location. If used right, one can take unique off angles on defence and push onto a site on attack.
You should focus on isolating enemies and using the surprise factor. The best Raze players in the world are known for mastering this skill. Due to how fast Raze can move in the air, it is nearly impossible to get a clean headshot, even if timed perfectly.
One must note that mastering Raze is quite a skill, and thus, they must practice in the training range as much as possible. Most VALORANT Champions Tour winners over the last few years have used this agent’s movement for some incredible manoeuvres.

The next agent on our list is one of the first agents in the game, Jett. Since her launch in VALORANT, Jett has been one of the most played agents. Due to this, in the last 5 years, Jett has been nerfed and buffed quite a lot. If we had the version of Jett during launch within the VALORANT Console now, the ranked ladder would be filled with only Jett players. Jett has three abilities that allow her to showcase a lot of mobility during a given match.
The first ability of Jett is her updraft. With this ability, she can move vertically up in the air, allowing her to reach various off angles all over a plant site. With her dash ability, she can push onto a site with ease. Due to her dash, it would be tough for players to take a clean shot on her. The combination of these two abilities, with a player using a controller, can result in a lot of chaos. If players have practised their combos well, they can then surprise their enemies and, with ease, win multiple rounds.
The only thing that puts Jett in 4th place is that she isn’t a proactive agent. One must first activate the dash ability and then trigger it again for it to work. For players who thrive on raw damage and being proactive, this might be one of the major downfalls of the agent.

In third place on our list of best Valorant agents for console players, it is none other than Chamber. Back in 2022, the Chamber meta on PC was wreaking havoc. Players could play this agent on every map with ease due to the mobility provided by his teleports. Following multiple nerfs and changes, the agent has now become a relatively niche pick for some players.
Within VALORANT on console, players on defence have more benefits in holding an angle. Chamber players who are comfortable with the sniper role can play it with ease. His abilities allow players to gather information about an enemy’s location and even teleport away.
The main strength of Chamber is its ultimate. Chamber gets a sniper that kills all enemies if they are hit. This allows the player a one-shot kill and escape combo when done right. On attack, Chamber can be the ideal sentinel to flank. If one wants to, they can get the off-pick to allow the team to push into the site. The only thing about Chamber is that there will be fewer flashy players on mobility. Instead, most of the agents will need to master their aim in the game to make the most of this French Sentinel.

Waylay was released in VALORANT during the grand finals of VALORANT Masters Bangkok. But it’s only recently that fans have begun seeing teams use her to the highest potential during VALORANT Champions 2025. Waylay’s ability allows her to create some unique and chaotic combinations that many players may not be able to deal with.
Her ability Saturate can slow down enemies that are hit. VALORANT Console players can combine this with her ability, Lightspeed, to dash in front of the enemy and secure the kill. If they feel like they need to dash back, they can use her ability, Refract, and go back. On console, this allows players a lot of flexibility in how they want to play her. Do they want to be the primary duelist and get the entry frag? Or they want to be more of a support and help the team push onto sight?
Her Ultimate ability, Convergence Paths, allows players to focus more on the supporter role. After the ability is used, all enemies hit by it will slow down, while Waylay will receive a speed boost. The only thing about this agent that VALORANT Console players must keep an eye on is the technique of how to make the most of her double dash. If done correctly, it can be highly beneficial in attacking most teams.

It won’t be fair of us to make a list of the best VALORANT agents to play on console and not put Neon in it. When Neon was announced in VALORANT, everyone realised how dynamic this agent can be. Neon is all about proactive plays. Similar to how we used to slide cancel in games like Call of Duty, players can now do that in VALORANT using Neon.
The High Gear ability allows players to push onto a given site with ease by giving Neon a speed boost and the ability to slide. If Neon gets two kills in a row, then she can use the sliding ability once again. If we include this ability with her ultimate Overdrive, one can sweep an entire team. Neon shoots enemies with a lightning beam that has 100% accuracy at any point. If a player gets a kill using the ability, the cooldown timer of the ability gets reset.

The best VALORANT agent on console is Neon. The reason for this is that her abilities are focused primarily on mobility. Her ultimate ability, Overdrive, has 100% accuracy, thus having the potential to kill multiple enemies in a short period of time.
