The most popular League of Legends streamers on Twitch and beyond

Tyler1

With League of Legends owing much of its popularity to its far-reaching social presence, a number of LoL streamers have proven themselves to be the best and most popular among their peers while streaming content related to the popular MOBA.

League of Legends may have an extremely competitive player base, but developer Riot Games ensures there’s more to it than that. Unlike Dota 2, which largely relies on former professional players to carry the game’s scene as Dota 2 streamers, League of Legends sees more varied streamers under its spotlight.

With so many League of Legends-related content creators on the scene, some of the best and most popular LoL streamers have managed to become worldwide names. From Caedral turning his casting background into a streaming career, to Tyler1 using his over-the-top reactions to attract more attention, these are the best League of Legends streamers.

Who are the best LoL streamers?

Some of the best LoL streamers include Marc “Caedrel” Robert Lamont and Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp, even though the two create very different types of content based on the game.

While competitive play is an integral part of the game, that’s far from all there is to it. The best League of Legends streamers are those who can combine their love of the game with something that helps them stand out from most other creators, whether it’s their vibrant personalities or their great knowledge of the game and its competitive scene.

Caedrel

Caedrel is easily the most popular League of Legends streamer currently active. Being considered the king of LoL esports co-streaming, the streamer is a retired professional League of Legends player and game analyst for Riot Games, showing that he has extensive knowledge of the game.

The former caster has the most-watched Twitch channel in the League of Legends category. He was previously part of Fnatic as a content creator and streamer for the esports organization in 2024, but that’s no longer the case. He primarily co-streams LCK and LEC matches, as well as select LTA North matches. His viewers also frequently tune in to watch him co-streaming the biggest tournaments on the League of Legends calendar, including First Stand and the Mid-Season Invitational.

When not streaming, Caedrel is managing his professional League of Legends team Los Ratones. The team made up of former players and popular streamers may still be relatively new, but it has made strides in the League of Legends esports scene, winning domestic tournament in Europe.

Thebausffs

Swedish Twitch streamer Thebausffs is best known for being one of the world’s best AD Sion players. While his gaming skills are inarguable, many fans tune in to his streams to witness his risky split-push strategies and arrogant trash talk that ensure all of his games are amusing, regardless of which team actually wins.

When he isn’t streaming, Thebausffs is playing as the top laner for Los Ratones, the same team his fellow streamer Caedrel founded and coaches. With his pro playing career now pushing his streaming career to new heights and attracting new followers, baus can still be seen dominating the top lane with questionable off-meta picks while prowling through the ranks of sole queue.

Tyler1

Tyler1 has made waves in multiple communities, ranging from Chess to World of Warcraft. But the streamer owes much of his popularity to League of Legends. Much of reputation was originally built around his being both skilled and toxic in-game. His Draven skills in particular were recognized by many fans worldwide.

The streamer increases his reach by frequently collaborating with other large content creators. These streamers include Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren, Emily-Beth “Emiru” Schunk, and Din “Agent” Muktar. Despite his reputation as one of the most toxic players at the top of the game’s ranks in North America, Tyler1 has won the Best League of Legends Streamer award twice and a Best Chess Streamer award once, showcasing his influence in the streaming scene.

There was a time in the streamer’s career when he was unable to stream League of Legends content because he had been banned from the game for his toxicity. It was only after internal leaks from Riot Games that Tyler was able to return to League of Legends. While Tyler1’s content has toned down to ensure he can survive in the current streaming climate, his fan base remains massive.

NoWay

NoWay, or NoWay4u_Sir, is the biggest League of Legends streamer in Germany. Playing as a mid laner for No Need Orga, the player has earned the nickname of “German Aimbot” thanks to his accuracy in landing spells while playing the mage champion Xerath. When he isn’t playing against other competitive teams, he’s streaming more casually for his large fan base.

Known for his calculated plays that usually result in him coming out on top of seemingly impossible situations, NoWay at one point had three accounts in the top 30 of EUW Challenger and one in the top 30 of NA, showcasing his skills in the game. Despite his calm and composed playing style, NoWay brings an entertaining personality that’s perfect for streaming, and his large fan following speaks to exactly that.

Yassuo

As his name suggests, the streamer Yassuo is best known for his plays as the famed mid-lane champion Yasuo. Known primarily in the North American region, the streamer owes his rise in fame to the League of Legends content he created on YouTube before his popularity further picked up through streaming. On Twitch, Yassuo streams a variety of content, including League of Legends gameplay, vlogs, and reaction videos. But he’s still mostly associated with League of Legends.

While it’s known that Yassuo has the skills to back up his mastery score of over 2 million on Yasuo, that isn’t the only reason for his fame. He has found himself in some controversy as he’s broadened his reach to other types of comment and interacted with other prominent streamers. But through it all, LoL streams remain a consistent fallback for Yassuo.

Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp, Marc “Caedrel” Robert Lamont, and Michael “Imaqtpie” Santana each have some of the largest follower counts out of all League of Legends streamers.

Popularity is fairly subjective, thanks to there being various platforms where League of Legends streamers can create their content. The most objective consideration is likely to gauge how many followers a streamer has on their primary platform of choice.

These are the biggest League of Legends streamers in terms of follower count:

  • Tyler1
  • Imaqtpie
  • Doublelift
  • Thebausffs
  • Caedrel
  • NoWay4u_Sir

Follower numbers are constantly shifting, especially with a dynamic game like League of Legends that continues to change and grow. Despite that, it would be tough for any League of Legends streamer to pass Tyler1 anytime soon in terms of pure fan following.
