Best Fortnite Weapons: Tier list for the current season

Over the years, there have been so many different weapons that have come and gone to and from the vault. Some of them have been great, while others have decidedly not been. As it pertains to the current season, it’s vital to know what weapons to look for on the ground and in chests. For all-time Fortnite, it can be fun to remember how good or bad a particular gun or throwable was.

Best Fortnite Weapons of the Current Season

It is currently Chapter 6 Season 4 in Fortnite, and it will stay that way for several more weeks. The loot pool might slightly change over the course of the season, but for the most part, the weapons you have access to now will be the same until the season ends. With that in mind, here’s the full tier list of the best weapons in Fortnite solely for this season. You may also want to check out the Reload Loot Pool which contains Mythics and Exotics.

S Tier

The Sentinel Pump Shotgun is one of the absolute best weapons right now, which is not all that surprising. Whether you prefer a faster shotgun or not, the punch of this weapon is undeniable. The Sentinel has been around for much of Chapter 6, and it remains arguably the best overall weapon in the game. Sure, it has barely any range, but with a head-on approach to combat, no one will be able to stop you.
The Wrecked Revolver is another excellent weapon in Chapter 6, Season 4. One of the best weapons in Fortnite, it’s essentially a pistol that has the range of an assault rifle with the damage of a shotgun. It’s hard to find a more versatile, powerful weapon to pick up.

The Mythics and Exotics always find themselves in S Tier, and this season is no different. They’re the most powerful versions of existing weapons, sometimes featuring special abilities.

A Tier

The Veiled Precision SMG, a stronger version of the SMG, is in the A Tier. It doesn’t have any range to speak of, but it really stands out in a season that doesn’t have a ton of great assault rifles. The O.X.R. Rifle is also present. It’s a marksman rifle, which means it brings some range to the table that the other weapons in the loot pool have not been able to.
The Leadsplitter 3000 is also one of the best Fortnite weapons of the current season. It’s a new minigun of sorts, capable of mowing down builds, cars, and dealing tons of damage. The only reason it’s not in S Tier is because of that pesky slow startup. Once you get spraying, though, it’s incredible.
The Sweeper Shotgun, this season’s auto, is also A Tier. It is exceptional at clearing out bugs.

B Tier

In the B Tier is the Swarmstrike, a new Rocket Launcher. It has no counter to builds, so it’s easy for opponents to avoid damage, but it’s a rocket launcher, and therefore pretty solid.
The Hyperburst Pistol is the epitome of solid. There are better options than pistols, but at least it has decent range.
The Bug Blaster is another B Tier weapon. Energy weapons can be hit or miss, and this one is pretty decent. It plays so much better in Zero Builds, though, because it focuses a blast that struggles to break through builds.
The Hammer Assault Rifle is back, and it’s back in B Tier as a solid but not spectacular Assault Rifle.

C Tier

The C Tier isn’t that populous, which is maybe a good thing.

The Deadeye DMR is here for its accuracy, but it brings virtually nothing else to the table.
The Stinger SMG is a major spray weapon, which isn’t all that useful this season. It’s otherwise just mediocre, and there are better SMGs.
