For many years, the best esports players in the Philippines have proven that they have what it takes to compete on the global stage. From the very beginning of Dota and CS, Filipinos have always been passionate about competitive online gaming. Similar to many emerging markets, the Philippines esports players usually came from internet cafes, skipping classes and trying to be better at an online game. This wasn’t anything to brag about, but that’s where it all started.
“Peenoise” is a term used by gamers to identify when a Filipino is playing, because of their loud mouth, aggressive trash talking, and unwillingness to admit defeat when the game is already lost. It is exactly those qualities that made the best esports players in the Philippines that we recognize today.
Here are the best esports players the Philippines has produced.

Games: League of Legends
Played for: XDG, CLG, Immortals, Team Liquid, Harrisburg, TSM
A very reliable jungler, but with no flair. Xmithie played a key role in Team Liquid’s success in LCS between 2018 and 2019, and the teams he was part of won the LCS both times. Xmithie had a strong reputation built around his ability to have good pathing, good vision control, and remain level-headed while things are going wrong in the chaos of a game.
The same consistency followed him into international competitions like MSI and multiple Worlds appearances.
For years, Xmithie was the most consistent jungler in North America and the foundation of every team he played for; for many fans back home in the Philippines, Xmithie demonstrated to them that hard work and smart thinking can be just as important as raw skill.

JessieVash has achieved top-level status in two games, Dota 2 and Valorant, which is a very rare achievement for just about any esports player. Prior to achieving top-level status in Valorant, he had already earned a high level of success in Dota 2 by being part of the Mineski team that represented the Philippines at the first-ever TI (The International) in 2011.
Building upon his success in Dota 2, JessieVash established himself in Valorant, of all things. He was one of the foundation pieces of Team Secret’s initial VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) efforts, further establishing the Philippines as a strong competitor in the global esports arena.
JessieVash’s ability to compete at an elite level in two completely different games, combined with his long history in the industry and his experience leading teams, sets him apart from many other professional Filipino gamers, and many other professionals in the world.

EnDerr has been the primary representative of the Philippines in Starcraft II competition for over a decade. Throughout his career in StarCraft II, EnDerr was recognized for his aggressive playstyle utilizing the Zerg faction and his ability to control the minute detail of micro management.
Each year, EnDerr was able to win his regional qualification event and represent the Philippines in WCS tournament events and international events. EnDerr also earned a Gold Medal at the SEA Games.

After many years of consistently competing against the world’s best players, AK finally achieved his first major title in 2024 when he won Combo Breaker.

Wise earned himself a reputation as a jungler who thinks ahead of the curve. Unlike other junglers, instead of following meta trends, he would surprise his opponents by choosing to play untraditional heroes and make them work.
This and his ability to perform under pressure are what make Wise stand out from the rest. He knows when to farm, when to engage, and when to go with his gut feeling.
A great example of this can be seen from the MPL PH Season 10 Grand Finals, where he called a priority to take Benedetta, which was a big factor in Blacklists’ victory.
He was officially added to the MPL Hall of Legends in 2023, solidifying his position as one of the smartest and most influential junglers in MLBB history.

In addition to dominating in the pubs, Abed showed the world what he could do in competition with top international teams like Digital Chaos, Fnatic, and Evil Geniuses. Now he plays for Virtus.pro
Because of his dominant control of the midlane with heroes like Meepo, Storm Spirit and Puck, Abed became one of the most-feared midlaners in competitive Dota 2.
