These are the biggest, best, and most popular Dota 2 streamers in the world

Dota 2 fans are lucky to have had many of the biggest names in the game move on to become some of its biggest Dota 2 streamers, but it does raise the question of which are the very best.

Active Dota 2 competitors rarely stream on a regular basis, and many pro players have discussed how it’s actually stigmatized in the competitive space. But once they step back from the pro level, many top Dota 2 pros take up streaming full-time.

While League of Legends and Counter-Strike have many popular streamers who are dedicated content creators, almost every notable Dota 2 streamer has played at the pro level for some length of time. Expertise still doesn’t necessarily translate to being entertaining, so who are really the best Dota 2 streamers?

Video: Pudge does NOT need to hook anymore.

Pudge does NOT need to hook anymore.

The best Dota 2 streamers

Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Artour “Arteezy” Babaev rank among the best Dota 2 streamers by most measures.

Many of the top streamers in the game are former pros and the field is saturated to some degree. Still, the best in the business are those who combine their high-level play with the showmanship needed to keep viewers hooked, and have the viewership that reflects their combination of charm and ability.

Dendi

ceb

It’s likely no surprise that Dendi ranks among the best Dota 2 streamers. Even before he stepped back from competitive play, the TI1 champion was known for his big personality and love of the game. Now regularly streaming on Twitch, he gets to show that personality off all the more frequently.

Dendi still remains largely based in Dota 2, where he streams himself playing various mid-lane heroes. Though he’s one of the most tenured Dota 2 pros in the game, he doesn’t lack for enthusiasm. He’s also not strictly limiting himself to min-max MMR grinding, so fans can expect him to break out his signature Pudge from time to time.

He will occasionally dabble in other games ranging from Counter-Strike 2 to League of Legends. He was also a part of the infamous end to the OnlyFangs World of Warcraft Classic guild during its final run.

Ceb

Sebastian “Ceb” Debs has never been shy. Even in a Dota 2 pro scene that some argue is bland to the point that it might be killing the game, Ceb has always been willing to speak his mind. That has gotten him into trouble on a few occasions, most notably when insulting Russian players during a pub match, but that hasn’t gotten him to calm down.

These days, Ceb brings that personality to his stream and YouTube channel. He primarily streams himself playing the game, but he’ll also deliver in-depth analysis regarding top players and teams. That makes for a good blend of entertaining and insightful content.

Gorgc

Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski is one of the only popular Dota 2 streamers who is primarily known for their streaming, rather than their play as a pro. Though much of Gorgc’s time is spent playing the game, he also routinely streams the biggest Dota 2 tournaments. In both cases, fans revel in his intense energy.

Though Gorgc is known as a streamer, he’s not lacking for skill in the game. While he doesn’t have TI championships like Dendi and Ceb, he still played in the Dota Pro Circuit’s European League with Team Bald. That means that there’s plenty for the average Dota 2 player or fan to learn from his play.

qojqva

Max “qojqva” Brocker was long a high-end journeyman playing in the Dota 2 pro scene, bouncing around various top European teams ranging from MOUZ to Team Liquid to Alliance. He didn’t really show much outward personality during his long run in the pro scene, but that’s changed in recent years.

While qojqva isn’t as bombastic as some of the other names on this list of the best Dota 2 streamers, he still offers up a fun and relaxed experience for viewers. And of course, as a veteran of the pro scene, his play is worth studying.

Arteezy

Arteezy Dota 2 retire

Arteezy was arguably the best Dota 2 streamer even when he wasn’t actively showing up on Twitch. Fans loved his laid-back style, which stands in contrast to many of the over-the-top, bombastic personalities on social media. The trouble is that he would only pop up once every few weeks, or even every few months, when he was still an active pro player. When he did stream, it was something of a community event for Dota 2 fans.

Now that Arteezy has stepped back from the pro scene, he’s on Twitch much more often. That’s good news for Dota 2 fans looking for his signature streaming experience.

Stray228, rostislav_999, and Topson all have claims to being the biggest Dota 2 streamers in the world, and answering the question definitively depends on what you think qualifies someone as the biggest and most popular.

There are numerous metrics for success on Twitch. Viewership, subscriptions, followers, and hours watched are all valid measures of success on any content platform, but success in one of those categories doesn’t necessarily translate to success in others.

These are the biggest Dota 2 streamers if measured in terms of follower counts:

  1. Stray228 (1.7 million)
  2. Rostislav_999 (1.3 million)
  3. Smzinho (1.2 million)
  4. Dendi (1.1 million)
  5. Arteezy (855,000)
  6. Just_ns (780,000)
  7. Gorgc (760,000)
  8. LenaGol0vach (730,000)
  9. Ybicanoooobov (680,000)
  10. Stariy_bog (645,000)

Stray228 and rostislav_999 have the largest follower counts on Twitch among Dota 2 streamers. While Stray228 has the higher follower count, rostislav_999 has better viewership.

That said, in terms of pure viewership, the most popular streamer in Dota 2 is either Gorgc or Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen.

Two-time The International champion Topson actually ranks among the top 100 most-watched streamers on Twitch. This is despite the fact that he only ranks 12th in terms of follower count among Dota 2 streamers. It’s uncertain whether Topson is planning to stick around as a streamer, as he began actively streaming during the summer of 2025 and often takes lengthy breaks, but he could one day stake a claim as the best Dota 2 streamer in the world if he keeps this up.

Gorgc also lags behind several other big Dota 2 streamers in terms of follower count, but he boasts stronger viewership regardless. Unlike Topson, Gorgc has been actively streaming for years and shows no sign of stopping.

Outside of individual streamers, a number of branded channels also rank among the biggest Dota 2 on Twitch. Betboom_ru ranks as the biggest Dota 2 Twitch channel in terms of watch hours. ESL’s primary Dota 2 Twitch channel also ranks among the most-followed. The official Dota 2 channel boasts 1.3 million followers and is guaranteed to be the most-watched channel when The International rolls around, or if Valve ever decides to make another True Sight again.
