Since its relaunch in 2023, Battlegrounds Mobile India has become one of the most popular games in the country, with a thriving esports ecosystem consisting of multiple internationally recognized teams. Recently, during PMGC 2025, we got to see teams from India like Orangutan and True Rippers compete on the biggest stage. With the main event of BGIS 2026 (Battlegrounds Mobile India Series) starting in a few days, let’s take a look at the best BGMI players in India in 2026.
Mohit “Levi” Kumavat is a very interesting player who actually had his rookie season in 2025. In this first season, he won the award for Esports Player of the Year at the Krafton India Awards. The player has had quite a start to the 2025 season, helping his team, at the time NoNx Esports, to qualify for BGIS and BMPS 2025. During BGIS 2025, his team finished in 14th place, but in BMPS 2025, he proved his skill. He helped NoNx Esports finish as the runners-up of BMPS 2025.
Levi went on to become the Finals MVP and overall MVP of BMPS 2025. This was a feat that hasn’t been achieved by any player recently. Sadly, the second half of 2025 wasn’t ideal for him as his team didn’t secure podium spots at any event. In 2026, he will be playing for ReckoningEsports. Only time will tell if Levi will be able to secure an MVP award or a trophy in the BGMI Esports 2026 season.
At number four is a player who has been slowly improving constantly in 2025, Jonathan “JONATHAN” Amaral. This year hasn’t been a prolific year for the player in terms of the number of trophies that his team has won. Instead, it has become one about redemption and returning to the top as one of the best BGMI players in India. Back in 2024, he helped Godlike Esports qualify for BMPS for the first time. With this, there was a lot of pressure on JONATHAN going into this BGMI event, and he delivered. After his BGMS performance, many wondered if he could carry that momentum into BMPS.
Godlike Esports finished 3rd during the tournament by securing 144 points. JONATHAN was determined to make sure they finished on the podium. He had the fifth-highest total number of finishes during the entire game, with 95. During the Grand Final in Kochi, he was fifth in terms of finishes, with 27, securing the spot as the third-best BGMI player in India.
In 2025, he started the year strong by helping Godlike Esports finish as runners-up during BGIS 2025. During this tournament, we saw him secure the joint-most finishes at 68. During the 3-day LAN at Hyderabad, the player had secured 38 finishes, helping him secure the Finals MVP award at the tournament. The second half of 2025 wasn’t ideal for JONATHAN as he failed to secure more podium finishes at the major BGMI tournaments. It does feel like the 2026 season will be quite crucial for JONATHAN to make sure he is still regarded as one of the best players in BGMI.
The third player on our list is one of the rising stars of BGMI, proving to everyone why he is one of the best players from India. It is the Ace of Orangutan Esports, Ankit “AKOp” Shukla. This player has been in top form during both the 2024 and 2025 seasons of BGMI Esports. During the 2024 season, he won the MVP award at ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: 2024 & BGMI Masters Series Season 3. During 2025, he helped Orangutan Esports win their first BGMI trophy: iQOO Battlegrounds Series 2025.
During BGMI Showdown 2026, the player was crucial in helping Organtuan Esports become champions, resulting in an MVP award. This victory sealed the spot for OG in the Gauntlet phase of PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025 in Bangkok. Sadly, the team finished 35th. If AKOp continues his previous season form into 2026, he might just become the best esports player from India in 2026.
Second on our list is Nakul “NakuL” Sharma from iQOOSoul. If we look over his overall CV from his career in BGMI, it’s nothing short of great. He has been a duo with Manya since their time at Global Esports in 2022, winning the first season of the BGMI Masters Series. During both 2024 and 2025, he became the one player his team could depend on, even if he was the last member left in the match. During the BGMI Masters Series season 3, there were multiple moments during the grand finals when NakuL pulled out some incredible clutch moments.
It wouldn’t be wrong to credit Nakul with helping iQOOSOUL win the tournament for the first time in their history. His mentality and aim were of the highest quality when needed. The first half of 2025 was quite a tough start for the player. iQOOSOUL finished in 15th place during BGIS 2025. They followed this up by finishing 29th during BMPS 2025, failing to qualify for the grand finals LAN.
Following the removal of Manya and Nakul becoming the IGL, the team finished 3rd during BGMI Masters Series Season 4 and BGMI Showdown 2025. They ended the year strong by becoming the champions of the final BGMI LAN of 2025: Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025. With Nakul making the transition to the role of an IGL, it will be interesting to note if he will be on the list of the BGMI community’s best BGMI players in 2026.

Well, the player we believe is India’s best BGMI player in 2026 is one who many fans of Indian Esports have seen in various teams. A player with all his accolades is still among the most underrated players in the Indian Esports ecosystem and is the best BGMI player in the world. It is Khush “Jokerr” Singh, the primary flex for iQOOSOUL.
A player whose legacy is all about consistency and believing in himself. Everyone remembers him for his incredible 1v8 clutch during the BMPS 2024 Grand Final. This clutch was so crucial that it resulted in his team gathering a lead before the last few grand finals matches. Since 2022, the player has held a record of winning a BGMI LAN tournament every year. Some of his major accolades include a 1st position in BGMI Masters Series Season 3, Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2024 & Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025. He also finished in 3rd place during Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2025 that was held in Hyderabad.
Jokerr’s previous performance is what many call the peak of what a player can achieve currently in BGMI Esports. Jokerr is the only player in BGMI history to win the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series two years in a row. While he couldn’t play in a tournament like PMGC 2025, only time will tell if he can carry iQOOSoul to glory once again on the international stage.
