After many teasers and speculation, Riot Games has finally provided enough information on the new void queen, Bel’Veth, to give fans a solid look into what she will be.
Bel’Veth is a fighter-type champion, suited to play in the jungle and take on skirmishes every time she gets the chance. By the looks and lore behind her, she will be able to feast on her opposition in an attempt to have the Void devour Runeterra.
This was especially shown in the trailer Riot released recently, where we see Bel’Veth in a breathtaking cinematic take on Kai’Sa in a serious void fight.
Bel’Veth is described as a nightmarish empress in the lore, created from the raw material of an entire devoured city. She is essentially the end of Runeterra itself and will be aiming to create a new monstrous reality of her own design.
The Void is a well-known thematic in League of Legends for years. Indeed, popular champions such as Kai’Sa, Malzahar, and Vel’Koz have connections to the dark and terrifying world. Bel’Veth looks like the Void’s final boss—and the Empress that would take over Runeterra completely.
With her abilities already revealed and available for testing before she officially hit the live servers, Riot may has done a good job at creating a Void raid boss that will be scary both in the lore and on Summoner’s Rift.
As LoL seems to be headed into a void theme, Bel’Veth is making her entrance alongside patch 12.11 on Thursday, June 9.
