Among the most exciting matchups during the MLBB Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) Season 17 is ONIC PH vs Aurora Gaming PH.
Both teams haven’t had the smoothest start to the regular season, but with five more weeks of action left, there are plenty of opportunities for a turnaround, starting off with this match-up.

ONIC PH, on the other hand, made headlines during the roster mania, as it sent off Grant “Kerla” Pillas to Indonesia, and imported Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto from the region.
Savero is amongst the most exciting new talents to come out of Indonesia. After getting promoted to the MPL ID from the MDL at the start of 2025, the rookie was quick to find his feet.
In his first season, he found himself in the team of the week during the sixth week and also won best rookie in week nine. He went on to help the team win both seasons of the MPL ID and also finish fourth at the MSC.
The M6 world champions, just like Aurora, haven’t had the greatest start to the season. They have lost to TNC Pro Team as well as Falcons PH.

ONIC PH’s previous match against TNC Pro Team, where they lost 2-0 shows that the team has not quite found its footing yet. Aurora’s initial losses against Liquid and Falcons have been close affairs, and it has followed these up with decisive wins against Twisted Minds and also TNC Pro Team.
