Tyloo has come out of the blue to make a case for itself as a legitimate high-tier Counter-Strike team, but can it plant a flag on the competition by beating Astralis in the Fissure Playground 1 finals?

Chinese Counter-Strike had a bit of a coming out party in the BLAST Austin Major, but that was primarily thanks to Lynn Vision Gaming making a deep group stage run. Tyloo was long the face of Chinese Counter-Strike though, and it’s getting its own opportunity to shine here. But can it take home a trophy at the expense of Astralis?
Betting tip: Tyloo got the better of Astralis earlier in this tournament, but the Danish squad should be able to recover in the finals.
My Astralis vs Tyloo pick: Astralis wins (1.44 at GG.BET)
Fissure Playground 1 is the first notable tournament following the BLAST Austin Major. It was also the premiere of several overhauled lineups, but they’re not the teams that stood out throughout the tournament.
Instead, Tyloo and Astralis have proven to be the best in the tournament.
Counter-Strike fans have generally turned on Astralis over the last year, and that has coincided with poor results for the team. Things are starting to change, though. Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen was added to the team ahead of PGL Astana, which was followed by a second-place run for Astralis. Now, the team has reached another grand finals here.
Taking the trophy would be a big statement from Astralis, but Tyloo is looking to make a statement of its own. The team has generally toiled away on the regional scene, outside the occasional qualifier win that leads to an international LAN tournament. Lynn Vision Gaming’s run in the BLAST Austin Major hints that the Chinese and APAC regional scene might be a bit better than many think. Don’t bet on it until there are more results, though.

The GG.BET live odds show that betting sites aren’t biting on Tyloo being a brand-new team after making it to the finals. Astralis is a sizable favorite and, well, it should be. There are some opportunities for decent returns, but bettors will need to get creative to make it happen, whether that’s through parlays or some high-risk lines.
