Danish esports organization Astralis has announced a new partnership with online bookmaker Stake as per a release from Monday, March 2.
Posted across Astralis’ social media, the announcement explained that the storied esports organization would enter a new strategic partnership with Stake that would see both parties promote fan-focused content.
Stake, hot off receiving a licence to operate in Astralis’ native Denmark on Feb 18, unveiled their partnership with the esports organization. Stake’s five-year deal will see them operate within Denmark following the acquisition of VinderCasino in 2025.
As part of the partnership, Stake and Astralis will reportedly deliver fan-focused activations, digital campaigns, and new branded content. The aim, as per the release, is to bring fans closer to players and culture of performance behind the scenes at Astralis.
Astralis CRO, Jakob Kristensen, weighed in on the partnership
“This is a strategically important partnership for Astralis and a strong validation of our position as a significant sports entertainment brand. Stake is entering the Danish market with global momentum, and doing so together with Astralis reflects the strength of our platform, our audience, and our long-term vision for esports as mainstream entertainment. We see significant opportunities to innovate, grow fan engagement, and help shape the next phase of our industry.”
Akhil Sarin, CMO of Easygo and Stake also shared his thoughts on the partnership:
“First and foremost, welcome to the family! We take immense pride in every partner within our portfolio, from global sports icons to the digital creators who define the internet era. Stake is a digital-native brand; we were born on the internet and we live for this culture. Tying our story to a legend of the game like Astralis is both a strategic milestone and a celebration of our newly activated Danish license. It’s a perfect match: global ambitions backed by strong local support.”
Stake.com has also been named as Astralis’ jersey partner, and will appear on Astralis uniforms for the foreseeable future.
Astralis, who has in the past operated in multiple esports, is primarily known for their highly successful Counter-Strike division. Winners of four Majors, and holding the record for 406 consecutive days at #1 on HLTV’s team rankings, the organization is regarded as one of the most important in CS history.
Stake has previously penned deals with multiple organizations within esports, including ESIC, Team Vitality, and StarLadder.
