In a statement issued on Sep. 22, Astralis have announced that they will not renew the contract of Carl Felix "MagiFelix" Boström for the 2022 season.
Today we part ways with @magifelix_lol as his contract will not be extended. Thank you for your time, and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.— Astralis League of Legends (@AstralisLoL) September 22, 2021
The player joined Astralis during the 2021 Spring split, as a replacement to the veteran Erlend "nukeduck" Våtevik Holm, who had to take a break from competitive play due to personal reasons.
MagiFelix played a total of 29 games for Astralis, including 12 wins and 17 losses. He played a pivotal role in the team, that was one game away from making the LEC 2021 Summer Split playoffs.
The solo queue prodigy will enter free agency, in a search for his next team to compete professionally in 2022.
